My personal collection of works that I feel uphold a higher quality of writing.
May or may not review them, may or may not reread them, but I’m always open to recommendations from anyone. Be aware the content of Bookmarks and Works are different, though there might be some overlap.
Will keep out any explicitly... explicit material such as porn with no plot content as those are mostly just for personal dirty pleasures, regardless of how well the porn or characters are written. That doesn’t bar explicit works from being added if it is minor or can be skipped to viewer’s discretion.

Summary
Jack of all trades, master none, but better than a master of one.
People always look to the shiny heroes, the ones wrapped in gold and flashy quirks. A vigilante that you might know, in a time you might not, discovered that he's more than happy to be pyrite. Fool's gold looks just the same as overpriced gold but is stronger, more durable. He loses his home, gains a family, and decides to show the world that heroes aren't all glitz and glamor. It's hard work, breaking bones, and mucking through.
He'll change the world and do it quirkless. The newest Undergound Hero Eraserhead decides to help a downtrodden kid do his best.

Barbatos’s eyes go round. “Raw?” he says, astonished. “My word.” He pauses, studying the qingxin in deep contemplation. Then he pops a petal into his mouth and immediately gags.
Xiao concludes then and there that the Anemo Archon is an idiot. “I warned you,” he says, utterly unsympathetic.
“That’s true!” Barbatos laughs. He runs a thumb over the bloom, but (thankfully) doesn’t try to eat any more. “I think it’ll grow on me,” he muses, then smiles, as if he’s said something clever.

But for the physician Albedo, whose passion is prolonging life, tending to an undead is the most illogical application of his skills. If he can simply assist sir Kaeya in recovering enough to attend one or two balls — and perhaps seek out a wife for himself — he’ll be one step closer to settling into the complex hierarchy of Mond nobility and nouveau riche.

I have.... mixed feelings.
I never liked LoTR, just didn’t enjoy the expansive, almost suffocating way the history was jammed into every word on each page. Didn’t even like the history all that much. I felt like someone force fed me a 12 course meal and then proceeded to assign me a gastric-bypass once I finally decided that I couldn’t keep my throat open any longer.
This kinda tones it down into an almost manageable plate of food, but in a way that I feel like I just ate 7 full courses full of heavy food over several hours and now I’m just uncomfortably bloated, and I didn’t even realize it.Would I recommend this? Personally, no, I didn’t even like reading this all that much, but as a whore for interesting and original premises in existing fiction who binged it in a few hours, this is still in my reading list, waiting for updates, and I can’t even justify why. It’s just... good fiction I suppose, but it won’t stop me from bitching about it.
Definitely give it a read if it intrigues you, I can certainly say nothing else out there takes itself quite as seriously, given it’s sheer ridiculousness at time. It’s definitely something different and almost a breathe of fresh air, except I’d say it’s a room full of carbon dioxide.
I mostly think of this as “LoTR but wearing a H.P. Cosplay”
