Summary
When Tobirama sets out to improve the Shunshin, he hardly expects to dip his feet into the natural laws of time and space. Manipulating those is historically, impossibly tricky, but Tobirama is nothing if not stubborn — he blames his Mother for that though he never met her — so he approaches as cautiously as he can. Hashirama needs him faster for war, for peace, for safety, and not even the Shinigami could deter Tobirama from something if his brother needed him — that he blames on his Father for obvious reasons — so Tobirama retires to his office and creates. The process is tedious, but the Hiraishin is finished in the last year of the Warring States, just in time to use it against Izuna. In one world, the Uchiha dies, but the Hiraishin is fickle and a wild thing caged — Tobirama likes to think they are similar in that way, that that is why the universe pulls just tight and thin enough when he looks at it to show him this — and so, in another world, the Uchiha lives; the rest of the world reshapes itself accordingly.

Summary
He warned them. Repeatedly. Kakashi didn’t want a genin team. Kakashi had no idea of what to do with a genin team. He was self-aware enough to know he wasn’t quite right in the head. He should not be trusted with a bunch of children.
But did the Sandaime hear him? No, because the Sandaime wasn’t Minato-sensei and the old man never listened to him. And he went ahead with the brilliant idea of saddling him with his dead sensei’s son, Itachi’s little brother, and a kunoichi who was so much a cannon fodder that she had a literal target on her bright red dress.
He would not be blamed for the shitshow that was about to start.
OR.
Kakashi only knows how to teach three things: survival, assassination, and pretending to be normal. Good thing that's exactly what his cute little genins need to learn. And if they also learned how to be a family in the process, well, that's just a bonus.

Summary
I've turned this work into a series because I've realised it made more sense than keeping to one huge work.
The first installation focuses on the summer of Year 4 and the murder mystery. The part featuring the actual school year will come after and there will be a few one shots in the middle.

Summary
Even at the moment of the hiraishin's conception, Tobirama knew the dangers of meddling with the very threads that make up the fabric of existence. He knew that repeated usage only made it easier to traverse between the dimensions because the user became physically more susceptible to slipping through the cracks.
But knowing something is possible theoretically is very different from experiencing it for himself.
