“Anakin,” Obi-Wan repeated, voice quiet. “Who took you there?”
Anakin's mouth opened up, and nothing came out at first, just a tiny croak of air. But he concentrated on Obi-Wan’s warmth on his shoulder. This time, he forced the words out, like pushing air through a clogged pipe.
“Mr. Palpatine.”
And the moment it released into the air, he felt he’d just thrashed a gong the way the sound, as small as it was, filled their apartment. He swallowed as Obi-Wan stared at him.
“The Chancellor,” he said.
(Or: A distraught Anakin comes home from somewhere he shouldn't have been, Obi-Wan is concerned, and the world rights itself from their conversation. Also, f*** Palpatine.)

Boq said something, but she barely heard it. Because there, just standing in the doorway, was the girl who ruined her life and saved it all at once. Elphaba Thropp. Smirking. Arms crossed. That perfect green face framed by unbrushed curls. She wasn’t wearing leather or rags. She looked at peace. Like herself. Like home.
“Did we lose her?” Elphaba teased. “She’s not speaking.”
“Is that how you speak to your girlfriend?” Glinda countered smoothly.
A smile curled on Elphaba’s lips as she walked over, leaning down to press a quick, grounding kiss to Glinda’s mouth. She dropped into the seat beside her and unrolled the worn map they’d used since day one.
“Oh no,” Fiyero said dramatically, grinning. “The Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good? In love? Scandalous.”
Glinda laughed and laced her fingers with Elphaba’s beneath the table.
The revolution was already in motion. And the world would soon learn that there was nothing more dangerous than two women in love, especially when one of them knew how to sell it.
