Summary
The Vees participate in Pentagram City's Pride Parade with their very own float. However, after Vox's public meltdown and subsequent beheading, the Vees have deemed him unfit to possess a body unless he is thoroughly sedated.
Vox does not see it coming when the Vees slip drugs in him, then dress him according to their vision, before parading him about for all of Hell to see.
Unfortunately, the drugs and new body prove to be too much for his system, too soon, and Vox gets very ill.
(This fic is directly referencing the 2026 Pride Merch drop from today... with Vox's Amazon Smile. Yes, I was immediately inspired to turn the official merch into a whump story about the Vees needing to drug him every time they give him his body back.)

Husk said Angel was staying away because he was worried the Vees would use him again and put the Hotel in danger. Charlie couldn’t believe that, or maybe she just refused to. Angel had to know nothing was his fault, right? If anything, it was her fault, just like everything always was. She was the one who drove him away and made him feel so unsafe. She was the one who gave Vox opportunities to use Angel against them. His home wasn’t a home at all because of her.
She couldn’t just leave him there. Couldn’t allow him to suffer like she had for so many months. And yes, Angel hated it when she meddled, but what else was she supposed to do? She had to be the one to fix this.
And so she did something truly stupid. She scheduled a meeting with Vox.
Charlie and Vox have a talk. Valentino looms large over it.

As Val spoke the words, Vox felt his screen heat to degrees he wasn’t aware were possible. He had to find a deep, dark hole to crawl into so he could rot forever. No, he needed to die. It was the reasonable thing to do. Was there some angelic steel around he could use? There had to be, right?
Velvette’s head spun sharply, turning to stare at Val. “Wait, wait, wait. What? Don’t joke, Val.”

Vox and Valentino have been fighting all day, oscillating between vicious heat and scornful ice.
Still, they crawl into the same bed when night falls, whether it be decades of habit, convenience, or something far more stubbornly tender.
Unfortunately, Vox's stomach is upset tonight - which under normal circumstances could be easily relieved with a shared chuckle, a playful spank, and a return to domestic camaraderie. However, Valentino is mad. When he's mad, he's cruel.
TLDR: Valentino makes things worse for Vox, then makes things better. There is Mean Val and Doting Lover Val. And Vox is an asshole crybaby who, unfortunately, cannot help wearing his emotions on his sleeve, especially when he is tired, sick, and embarrassed.
