Bakugo rolled his eyes as he let Mineta wriggle away, turning to face the next person as he began to warm his hands to light the next sparkler, resigned to this new role as a human match. The small blast he had ready to go popped with a whoosh, however, as his eyes took in the scarred hands that held the stick tightly. He gasped, red orbs flashing up to meet those beautiful green eyes, the ones he couldn’t seem to get off his mind no matter what he did.
“Hey, Kacchan,” Midoriya gave him a small smile as he held out his sparkler.
“Izuku,” Bakugo was so startled that Midoriya’s full name came out without a second thought and Midoriya’s smile spread in a heartbeat, shining like starlight. The sight alone left him breathless.
