"Of course, father. But need I remind you that I am the physical incarnation of the heaven's wrath ? An unstoppable force of nature! A being of endless light and limitless power, I am—"
"...A very sweet girl." Emilia interrupted her.
"...hmph! I will allow it..." She trailed off, pouting while turning her head away to hide the pink hue on her cheeks from her 'parents'.

Despite Beatrice never leaving the fake Library he had built her. Despite Emilia depending on him for every question. Despite…dozens, hundreds of defeats. The world had been saved, yes. The people of Lugunica lived better lives. No one starved nor went without house, food or water. But the people whom he had done that for, his camp, his friends, had all faltered to a bad ending.
And his kingdom, indeed it was his for Emilia would not be able to rule, was doomed to fall after his death. The nobility, having managed to find no moral allies there, was against him. The populace, under the rumour of him having the seven Witches Factor, would cheer his death…
Oh, look, he was wrong again. Beatrice had left the Library.

Subaru and his friends fought Pandora in a battle that could end everything. Knowing they were going to lose, he sacrificed himself, taking Pandora with him… hoping it would be the final end.
