Shen Yuan is what many would regard as normal—nothing too special, a bit of a dork, not all that popular at school...
Except he has a secret: he's a xianxia-themed magical boy.
And well, this secret gets increasingly hard to keep when he gets assigned the most popular boy at school as a partner on a big class project, because for some reason things keep happening that threaten his secret identity. Maybe it would be easier if Shen Yuan knew that suave, sweet Luo Binghe has a secret too—because Luo Binghe is the Demon Lord, the town's biggest supervillain...and Shen Yuan's arch-nemesis.
They literally fight each other on a near nightly basis, and also sort of flirt (?) with each other (except Shen Yuan is oblivious to this. To him, it's just the other being infuriating and smack-talking him). But through shenanigans, Shen Yuan and Luo Binghe somehow get closer at school and also keep flirting (err, Luo Binghe is flirting anyway) even as they try to keep their secret identities...well, secret. And when the elderly Huan Hua Polytechnic Headmaster requests Luo Binghe's help in opening a portal to the Demon Realm, things get serious...and something something more shenanigans and secret identity reveals~
