Technoblade picked up the phone without pause, a motion he repeated more than eight or nine times an hour. He wouldn't say he disliked getting calls, it was a break from his grading, but he wasn't the fondest of talking to confused students.
Techno recited his little speech into the receiver, telling the caller that they'd reached his professor's office and that they were speaking to a TA.
Through the phone, where Techno normally expected to be told of an issue, there was shuffling. A curt clack and the ring of a bell in the distance.
After a few moments of silence, Techno went to speak, but closed his mouth as music started to play through the phone. It was strange and uneven, shaky piano notes that sounded live, and it was no melody he had ever heard before. It was nothing more than six notes and a panicked breath before the phone began to hum as the line was cut off.
Techno pulled the phone away from his ear.

Technoblade was found four years after going missing at age eight. His younger brother never was. Ten years later, Techno started getting phone calls.

It’s Phil who asks him to go.
‘It’ll be good for you, Tommy.’ He said, as if he knew Tommy past the awkward conversations and the file that had been handed to him as he was dumped on their doorstep.
As if he knew Tommy past the anger and the trauma that he wore so blatantly but no one had bothered to do anything about. Deciding it would be better to leave it to him to handle on his own even when it was clear to any one with half a brain that he was drowning in it.
He doubted it would be anything other than an inconvenience that he had to deal with two times a week but he agreed anyway, to make Phil happy and maybe, if did help, that wouldn’t be so bad because he can’t keep living like this, really.

No, that’s silly. Why would Wilbur be looking for him after what he did? After what he said?

It sure sounds a lot like Wilbur. Tommy pries his eyes open, squinting through the snow and blinking at the lanky figure not far off in the distance. His movement seems to attract its attention, because it starts to move towards him, slowly and then picking up until it runs full-tilt at him.
"Tommy!"
Oh. It is Wilbur.
Or,
Tommy runs away from home in the middle of a snowstorm, is brought home by a very brother-shaped siren, and is surprised to learn that his family actually wants him.

Summary
When Tommy decided to go out on his morning patrol that day, getting kidnapped was not at the very top of his priority list.
What had been at the very top of his priority list was getting away from Dream at the time. The man had already made it insurmountably clear that he’d fucked up earlier, and Tommy was desperate to get back into his good graces. If he didn’t, well…
He doesn’t really want to think about that.
But now he’s strapped down harshly to an iron chair, wings tied uncomfortably beneath his suit as the Angel of Death towers over him with deep-rooted hatred in his eyes.
Tommy swallows, and the villain’s gaze follows the movement of his adam’s apple as it bobs nervously, probably deciding the best way to tear out his throat before the interrogation could even start.
Or, hero Tommy gets asked a few too many wrong (or right) questions and villain SBI finds out more than they bargained for.

The trunk clicked and Phil didn’t hesitate before grabbing and lifting the lid.
Wilbur jumped back, barely containing a yelp, Techno taking a small step towards Phil, who was standing staring at the sight in front of them.
A small boy, with fluffy golden curls, bundled in one of the blankets Phil had insisted they keep in the back for emergencies.
And yet, even under the pools of the blanket the boy was swimming under, it wasn’t enough to hide what Phil had latched onto.
Small wings, covered in beautiful, snow-white feathers sprouted from the boy’s back.
