Summary
Everyone knew the Freecss twins.
One was bright, fearless, impossible to stop.
The other arrived ten steps ahead, bad tea in hand, already certain how it ends.
Some monsters roar. Others name what things actually are — and wait for the world to catch up.
The problem is what has started naming things back.

Summary
Jason Stackhouse finds a strange young man sitting alone in the woods late one night and, drunk enough to mistake caution for courage, decides somebody ought to make sure the kid gets home safe.
The problem is that the quiet boy with sorrow-filled eyes is actually Godric, oldest vampire Jason has ever met, and far more dangerous than Jason realizes.
The bigger problem is that Godric becomes attached.
Jason never meant to get involved with vampires again. He definitely never meant to become the center of attention for Godric, Eric Northman, and the increasingly alarming household at Fangtasia. But every attempt to pull away only seems to tighten invisible bonds Jason cannot understand.
After all, humans leave.
Godric has decided Jason will not.

Summary
Fíli lived his life by an old dwarven proverb: when a fool drops a treasure, a wise man picks it up (it sounded better in the original khuzdul).
Bella Baggins never quite fit in the Shire. Perhaps she was made for the mountains, instead.

Summary
Sakura, who is made up of all of what makes Konoha Konoha, is a disturbing thing. She is rotten and corrupt and a liar and the blood in her teeth will always linger on her tongue. Blood tastes like metal, did you know? Sakura grits her teeth and forces herself to age like a human girl does. Sakura Haruno is no paragon, no, she is divine and all divine things are made of rotting. But still, she bears the corruption like a shinobi. Like a godling.
For Sasuke, she will say right now, so unsure of her nonexistent humanity. For Sasuke, Naruto, Kakashi, and every other loved one she’ll gather, she’ll say later and her false human skin cracking.
Humanity is a scarce thing for gods.
(Or: Sakura is Konoha, and despite this she tries to learn how to love a boy and how to become human. One step at a time.)

Summary
✰ THE END'S NOT NEAR. ITS HERE.
Bo Howell spent ten years running from the girl her father made her, trading rifles for rolling pins, survival skills for therapy sessions, and her childhood name for something that didn't taste like blood. At twenty-eight, she owns a bakery, rescues a cat, and has almost convinced herself she's normal.
Then the world ends.
Suddenly, every instinct she buried becomes the only thing keeping her and around around her alive.
Now she's got a gun, a cat, a traumatized kid who claims her as family, and a slow-burning thing with a redneck tracker who's just as damaged as she is. The apocalypse doesn't care that she wanted to be soft. It only cares that she knows how to survive.
And Bo's starting to realize: you can't outrun what you were built for.

Summary
Isabella Swan definitely didn't expect to run into a vampire while out clubbing. She certainly didn't expect him to be such a good dancer, and she absolutely did not expect him to agree to go home with her.
What happens when an older, darker, and more cynical Isabella Swan, hardened by betrayals, encounters Aro, the powerful leader of the Volturi, late one night?
