Tears filled Hua Cheng’s eye at the praise and the boundless adoration in Xie Lian’s voice. Even after so many years together, it was still overwhelming to be loved this ardently by the god who had saved him in every possible way, for whom he had searched for so long, shaping himself into who and what he was today.
He had thought to make himself into a tool for His Highness, capable of doing anything for him, whether it be turning the world upside down or altering the fabric of reality itself in order to make Xie Lian happy. What an incredible thing, that what made Xie Lian the happiest was simply to be with him. Incredible but undeniable, the evidence right in front of him every single day.
Other than pushing up into Xie Lian’s touch with a needy little whimper, Hua Cheng obediently stayed as he was, his hands behind his back.
