I remember reading this for the first time way back when it was on livejournal. I have read it many times since because I have a love of competency. Synecdochic writes beautifully and I only wish they had never been turned off of SGA because I would have loved to see more in this vein from them. All that said, this lovely story stands alone as a gorgeous tribute to common sense and planning.

Summary
A rewrite of season 2 with Alpha Peter and Stiles as the Alpha Mate.
Peter had called Stiles the clever one but Stiles wasn't sure if Peter realized how true that was, because that was the day Stiles figured out that he was Peter's mate. The reason why Peter never harmed him when he had no qualms maiming and killing others.
Stiles decides to use his new position as Alpha Mate to his advantage, to shape the new Hale Pack and to make Peter work hard to earn Stiles as his mate.
