Chapter Text
During the day, most would think that the world stops for some time, but it doesn't. Our tale begins in nineteen eighty-eight. All was quiet on Diamond Dogs as Venom Snake was about to sleep when a call came in. Kaz, his right hand who only stuck around for his planned revenge, had taken the call. It was from an old man in Tokyo.
"Hello?"
"This is Joseph Joestar, I would like to make a request."
"Please ask."
"I need someone gone. His name is Dio. He's working out of this place in Egypt."
After being promised stock in the Speedwagon Foundation, Venom was sent out to find himself a vampire. Joseph had told him that the vampire had an acute weakness to sunlight. Soon enough, the merc had found himself at a church in the middle of the Sahara. It was cool that night as he snuck inward and found most of the church's first floor looking like it was a normal church. There was a nude statue of some man holding his own head.
“May you forgive me for ruining your grand cathedral with heathen blood.”
In an instant, half the team was taken out of reality with Venom reacting fast and firing at the statue. He was a smart man, he knew that he was obviously a devout believer in this god, so desecrating the statue would throw him into a rage and make him easier to kill.
“Kaz, get me all the info you can on this guy.”
He hated how he had to hear the voice of Snake, through the body of this imposter.
“His name is Vanilla Ice.”
“Vanilla Ice?”
“Yes. Apparently, he was a mercenary for some time before ending up in Cairo and disappearing. Though, that’s probably how he ended up here.”
Whilst Kaz was briefing Venom, a man from upstairs said two words.
“The world.”
Time froze as Venom blew the head off the statue of Dio. He had used his stand and moved fast. The World was a stand. I, Huey Emmerich, assume you know what that is.
“What?”
Time unfroze. Dio could unfreeze time for only a second. Venom turned his assault rifle to Dio and unloaded all the rounds into his body before the rest of the Diamond Dogs soldiers filled Vanilla Ice with enough lead to make him absorb all the radiation from a small nuke.
“You seem strong.”
Venom was shy, he was only fifty-two yet was still very introverted.
“Don’t talk to him, just fight!”
“Enya, get my stand arrow!”
Down the hall, an old woman went to retrieve an arrow to bring Diamond Dogs onto her side.
“Yes, master.”
