Chapter Text
Matthis had shifted from another country to Thailand. He became a trainee under DMD and got close to a few actors, such as Reeonn, Fifa and Pete.
The four were DMD trainees together.
Matthis grew especially closer to Pete, because the two started conversing in English. The two had a wonderful bond.
Before Matthis had joined the company, Pete was already present there. He had joined a reality TV show the previous year, where he'd grown closer to Wave, another actor in the same company.
The ghostship, PETEWAVE became pretty famous among the netizens and many edits were made. The ghostship was quite popular.
So popular that even Matthis knew of them.
He loved teasing Pete about Wave wherever and whenever.
"Why don't you just confess to Wave?" Matthis teased the younger again.
"Huh?!" Pete yelped staring up at him.
Pete was grabbing something from the ground, while Matthis teased him, hovering over the pale boy.
"Stop that." He groaned, as he put the books in the box placed next to his knee.
"Stop what?" Matthis asked leaning over his shoulder.
Pete looked away, as he shook his head. Matthis let out a laugh.
"Alright, alright. My bad bro." He teased ruffling Pete's hair. The younger grunted in return.
"Hey bro, hands off the hair." He said smacking his hand back, and Matthis' eyes widened as Pete froze. His lips parted as he stared him in the eye.
Pete's hand was stuck mid air as the two stared back at each other. Neither broke eye contact before Matthis let out a loud laugh.
"What'll you do about it? Huh?" He said launching himself at Pete.
Pete let out a loud shriek as he was shoved in between Matthis' grip. Matthis held him up in a choke hold as he started rubbing his knuckles on Pete's scalp.
"AH!" Pete yelled out before breaking down into laughter.
Matthis joined him while laughing and sat back down on the ground as Pete fell forward.
"Oh my...bro what the heck." He scoffed, poking his inner cheek with his tongue. Matthis just smiled in return.
He rolled his eyes at him, grabbing the stuff from the ground. "Help me pack, hurry." he sighed and Matthis reached out, rubbing the back of Pete's neck.
"Alright, I'm sorry." he laughed as he helped place the last things into the box.
The two had come to Pete's home to grab a few things to bring back to the company.
"Pete!" Pimya, Pete's older sister called out to him.
"Oh, yes?" He yelled back.
"There's a phone call for you!" She said walking over to his room.
"Huh?" He stopped to look up at the door where she stood. "For me? On the landline?"
She shook her head. "Your phone's outside." She pointed back.
"..." He stared at her. "And you couldn't have brought it in-?" He asked as he squinted his eyes.
"Nope." She answered as he huffed, getting up from the ground.
"I'll be back." He said to Matthis as he went outside.
As he left, Pimya and Matthis were left alone in the room. The two were awkward, as Matthis just stared at the wall.
He bit his lip, rocking back and forth.
"You must be his friend huh?" She said out loud and Matthis stared at her with a quick nod, he answered her, "yes, indeed!"
"Oh." She nodded. "I'm Pimya, Pete's older sister."
"Nice to meet you, I'm Matthis."
"Can you speak Thai?" She asked as she tilted her head.
"Uh, not quite much. I'm learning it still." He smiled and she smiled in return. "Pete has been quite some help, luckily he speaks English."
Pimya let out a laugh. "I'm glad you get along."
Matthis smiled in returned, "me too."
"Thanks." Pete said rubbing Pimya's shoulder as he walked back inside.
"No worries." She smiled at her younger brother. "Need anything?"
"Nope." He answered as walked up to Matthis, and held the box set on the ground. "We'll leave in a few."
"Alright, go safely." She answered.
"You too."
"Your sister's quite nice." Matthis said looking at Pete.
The two were in a taxi ride back to the company. Pete looked over with a nod.
"She can be nice. But not always." He sighed.
Matthis smiled, finding him cute.
"We have practice soon right?" Matthis asked.
"Yep, as soon as we reach we need to head over to the studio." Pete answered.
"Ah so tough." He sighed. "I thought you were gonna show me around more, but you just took me to your house and back."
Pete laughed. "I'll show you around later, when we're free."
"Yeah till then I'll be gone." Matthis scoffed.
"Vietnam, right?" He asked.
"Yep." He smiled.
"How long?" Pete asked staring at him and Matthis could swear, he felt butterflies in his stomach.
"Ah. Like. A week or more." He said looking away.
Pete nodded.
"Safe travels to you by then." Pete smiled.
Matthis looked back, with a teasing smile.
"What're you gonna do? Find time to spend with Wave~?" He cooed and Pete shook his head.
"Its useless trying to start a conversation with you." He sighed.
"Aw don't be shy." He said making a heart in front of Pete's eyes. "I support, true love."
Pete shoved his hand aside, "oh shut up."
Matthis let out a laugh. "You love it, don't you?"
"Do I?" Pete asked, as he raised his eyebrows.
"Do you?" He asked back.
Pete stared at him, blinked, a few seconds passed then he nodded, giving in.
"I do." He joked and Matthis let out a big laugh, "I KNEW IT!"
"Oh do you?"
"Oh do I?"
"Do you?"
"Yes, yes I do."
Pete rolled his eyes, "you're so childish."
"I'm childish?!" Matthis scoffed.
"Yes, yes you are."
"That's false."
"Is it?"
"It is."
"Sure."
