Mikey learned at a very young age that being fluid was genuinely a cool thing. They went with the flow easily, following their older brothers around; they were fluid in training, bending and moving in a way their brothers weren't fully able to. Mikey was even fluid in their way of thinking. Nothing ever surprised them, because that's just who they were, right down to their core. It kept life interesting. Sure, Donnie probably had a science lecture prepared if Mikey was ever that curious. But Mikey didn't need to understand the science behind being fluid in gender as well.
