It was a simple fact that his work had one coworker that stayed around.
Stone had been all around the world before he landed at Robotnik’s side. Espionage, assassination, special deliveries- and often go other agents spared either him. He told GUN that he worked best alone.
That did not stop him being sent within teams on missions, and to end up one of few who had survived it. The only one who would complete the task.
It must have been nearly a hundred agents lost before GUN stopped sending others.
Stone only had one constant companion before Robotnik.
