Chapter Text
Jarilo-VI...a planet that was frozen over with the Stellaron. Blade, a Stellaron hunter, and you were going to the strange planet on orders from Elio. You and he knew of each other, but you were always too scared to hold a real conversation with him. Sometimes you would find him just...looking at you. Sure, it was nice having an attractive guy look at you, but you still couldn't help but find him scary.
With no warning, you found yourself on a ship, being set down in the icy place. Blade...you didn't know much about him. You tend to avoid him because of his aura alone...it feels like he always wants to kill something or, well...someone.
Looking over your shoulder to look at him, you notice the scars along his neck...you want to ask about them, but using your better judgment, you don't. As if reading your mind, the tall man speaks. "You don't have to stare." His voice is cold and flat... it sends a shiver down your spine. You speak up meekly, "I... I was just wondering how you got those scars, is all..." No response from him... obviously. After what seems like an eternity, you reach Jarilo-VI. You walk over to the window and look out...eyes shining as they roam the white orb, then that's when it hits you...It's frozen over..." What?! Did Elio know it was frozen over-" you stop yourself because OF COURSE he knew. He always knows every damn thing! Blade huffs at your reaction...it was clear he didn't fancy you one bit...whatever. You didn't care; you just had to get through this mission, then you would go back to avoiding him like you used to do.
As you were making your way back to your seat, all hell broke loose. The ship enters turbulence, and you fall over, banging your head hard on the wall. With a groan, you push yourself back up." Ugh, shit..." Meanwhile, Blade is trying to stabilize the spacecraft, but to no avail. You can hear him cuss under his breath. Making your way over to him, you speak up, "What the hell happened?" but he doesn't respond...typical. Groaning once more, you look down at the control panel and your eyes widen. The ship is out of fuel, and it is running on stored energy, causing the ship to crash down. In a panic, you run to the back where the fuel tank is, and you fling the door open. The fuel is out...completely, and it's about to run out of the stored energy it has. Running back, you yell out, "Blade, we are about to crash, get ready and brace for impact!" You reach for him, but he moves quickly...odd. Pushing that thought aside, and you strap yourself down in the seat...blade just stands there..."Damn it, Blade, sit down; we are about to make impact!" With his back facing you, you can't make out his expression....
The ship starts to beep loudly, making you feel overwhelmed and overstimulated. Shutting your eyes, you brace for the crash and pain...Blade, still standing there, looks out the window as the ground gets closer with each breath...the next thing you can remember is waking up in the cold...cuts and blood all over you..." B-blade..." you weakly call out on the floor. Looking around to try to find him and to assess the situation, you feel a sharp pain in both of your legs. screaming out in pain, you crawl out from under the huge piece of metal that was crushing your legs. Tears streaming down your cold face give you some kind of warmth from this intense cold. Crying and whimpering in pain, you continue to push your injured body across the ground, calling out to Blade again. You see him...on the floor, not breathing, and you panic. "no...no no no! Blade...BLADE!" you scream out, crawling to him as fast as you can. You leave a blood trail as you slowly make your way over. Your hands shake as you move to touch him, "Blade..." you say weakly..."Blade w-wake up...h-hey..." The tears fall...sure you didn't like him, but he was still your co-worker, and the thought of being alone on this strange ice hell hole fills you with horror you can't seem to put into words. He couldn't be dead right? Right...? You have only been with the Hunters for a few months...you didn't get enough time to know him...you wanted to, even though he scared you. The tears came to a stop after your eyes couldn't cry anymore...you lay there with broken legs and probably even more broken bones. The cold numbing the pain helps to some degree. You feel your eyes grow heavy...you sub come to it as you lose consciousness.
