Boomie glared at Woocie his blood boiled with anger as his sword sliced Woocie’s arm, he felt a small satisfaction seeing Woocie’s blood drip down his arm.
He kicked Woocies stomach hard making him fall onto the ground coughing harshly. Woocie scrambled up and hastily brought up his sword just in time to block Boomies next attack.
“How dare you fucking betray us Woocie! We fucking trusted you!” he growled, his voice dark with hatred as he lunged for Woocie again. Rage burned within him as he relentlessly attacked Woocie, he felt his bloodlust rise more and more, the voices in his head screaming for the blood of Woocie.
Woocie stumbled back desperately trying to block the onslaught of attacks. “Boomie man, cmon you know this is the only way. I can finally be free. Please! Just give it to me!”
Kantje grabbed Boomies arm and stopped him. “Boomie enough, we’ve already killed everyone else here. Onion just.. give him the ticket.”
Onion looked at her father and Boomie nerviously, then to Woocie, the man who helped her through the maze and the wardens, he just… attacked her. As much as she didn’t want to give Woocie anything, she trusts her father and Boomie so.. she took a step forward and gave the ticket to Woocie, then quickly retreated behind Boomie.
Boomie glared at Woocie fury coursing through his veins, but relented as Sols prepared to set Woocie free from the Narritive.
Once Sols set Woocie free he shot into the sky and disappeared, and then Sols decided this was boring him and left. Kantje turned to Onion, “This was you’re choice… I hope it was a good one.. can you go to the other side of the arena please, I just.. need to talk to Boomie for a second.”
Kantje looked at Boomie again, properly this time now that they weren’t in danger and they had a moment to talk. “Hey Boomie… You’re in my future.. but you said you’ve seen onion a lot, but why would I bring her so often?”
“Hey, don’t think about it so much, everything will turn out ok, you bring her on like one or two missions, just uhm, just don’t bring her too often, yeah?” he said putting a hand on Kantjes shoulder.
“Hey Onion, come say bye to Boomie, you’ll see him again, but not for a while.”
Onion walked back over to them, and Boomie noticed the look in her eyes, she clearly wanted to ask about something, but didn’t want Kantje to hear. “Hey Kantje, can we talk alone, you know.. to say bye and stuff.”
“Huh? Oh yeah sure.” he said walking over to the corner out of listening distance as he contemplated the future and why he would endanger Onion.
Boomie looked Onion over, she looked nervous whether it was what she wanted to talk about of the fact people just tried to kill her he didn’t know.
With a soft sigh Boomie put his hand on her shoulder, “Listen… I know he’s sad about it. I’ve been aware, I’ve been aware a long time…”
“Should.. should I tell him then.. that you know or…?”
“No. He can’t know just yet. Everything is going to fall into place. Everything is finally going to come together.”
“It always.. It always does.”
“Yeah.. twenty thousand years huh.. damn I’m old as hell.. can’t believe it’s going to end so soon. ANYWAYS, enough talking about the doom and despair that is the Narrative!” he said giving Onion a small smile. “I know I will die, I can only hope my death is something that saves you, or Kantje, even if it’s only temporary. Take care of your father Onion, he’s going to need you.”
