Chapter Text

¹
Streamer!Veil is a niche streamer that has a supportive fanbase surrounding her brand.

She usually edits her streams into youtube videos on her own, but after becominf a little busy, she hasnt had much time and hires an editor.

Editor!Sebastian³, has to watch hours upon hours of twitch streams of this guy, and he cant help but think shes funny and charming.

He starts leaving small messages during the editing process (a blink and youll miss it), and Veil's fans start to catch on as they start noticing messages like "That one was really funny", "Cute", or the most memorable one where Veil talks about her dating life briefly and Sebastian³ leaves a message "call me", which was only meant as a joke.

Sure, its not a big deal, but the fans are craving this mystery, and this catches Veil's attention when someone donates and asks about it.

She isnt sure what theyre on about until she actually starts watching the videos that Sebastian³ edited before and tries to crack this cryptic man, who always seemed so dry and straightforward when they talked online.

²
Veil started streaming as a little hobby. It gave her people to chat with while playing and even earn some money on the side. And eventually, her fanbase grows as more people start to visit and stay in their niche community. After all, she had a unique humor and personality that made people gravitate towards her.
The community was supportive, and eventually helping Veil make the decision of branching out to other forms of media, like Youtube VODS, short clips of her streams, etc.

It was a lot work. Cutting almost ten hours of a stream, and editing everything to be more engaging, is absolute torture. Fortunately, A friend reaches out and offers to find her some editors, or at least someone who Veil could pay to deal with the tedious tasks. And how lucky she was, when a kind editor asks about the job. Veil didnt know this persons real name or face, but a friend vouches in favor of his work and Veil sends him some samples to edit. Immediately, Veil is impressed by how he works and the output he hands her. It didnt take long to be hired.

Sebastian is a "freelance" worker. He does different types of computer programming and coding in various jobs, but he also does side gigs every once in a while. Scrolling through his feed, he comes across a short clip of a streamer he didnt know. Veil Myriad, was the username, and he almost scrolls ahead in indifference, but the mention of a job hiring for an editor piques his interest. After all, he was a little short on money to fix his bike. When he finally gets the job and goes straight to work, he braces himself for the long hours he'll have to watch a stream and edit it all in a week, but it wasnt any worse thana desk job, really. Sebastian watches the first hour, and he hates to admit this streamer's jokes were okay, despite not being used to it. Maybe watching some more wont kill him. Well, he is getting paid to.
