Ghosts in Love

Summary:

Christine thinks, at the end of it all, she should've had more to say about the past.

But after all of the other things, she chose to let go.

Notes:

Hello!

I was asked to write a love story for one of my classes, and because I chose to write about Christine and Veronica. I thought it would be fun.

Anyways this is very short, but I fairly enjoyed writing it.

Best,

Spell.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Begin again. Learn to let go.

Ghosts haunted this place. Poison fog coated everything the ghosts didn’t haunt. It made being anywhere difficult. Still, I would remain.

Begin again.

The songs echoed out through the town. Ghosts from ages long gone. The spectre sang stories no one remembered. She sang out, beckoning, luring, hoping someone would play games again. Hoping someone would sing and dance till’ nothing was left.

Learn to let go.

I handed the tape to that stranger. A package to deliver. A message. This place was full of messages. Ghost stories of dreams that didn’t come true. This one story wasn’t from me. From a different person.

She would get it, I’m sure. Understand where it had come.

Let go.

I walked on, into the fog. Walked on alongside the ghosts.

Notes:

I hope you enjoyed!

This is a fun little thing. Veronica and Christine are really tragic lesbians of all time. I adore them.

Also! The Fallout show? I'm kind of so-so on it, but I've always been that way. I still feel like it needs it to convince me it's somehow part of the canon. It feels like none of what's happened in the games has affected the show's story.

It's bothering me.

Anyways until next,

Spell.
