Chapter Text
"Dami, where did you go?" Dick cried out while walking around the Manor. They were playing Hide and Seek and Dick had already found Jason and Tim. He has 1 minute left to find Damian.
"It's no fair, I want to hide so bad," said Tim while pouting. He was sitting on the coach in the living room, bouncing up and down, waiting to go hide again.
"I think Dick cheated," Jason said very authoritatively.
"I did not cheat, Jason," Dick said. Jason was still glaring at him like he did. "Whatever," Jason said a little bit later. Dick sighed and called out to Damian again. "You WIN Dami, you can come out now!" While he was calling this Bruce's phone timer went off, announcing the end of the game.
Damian came sprinting out of the hallway into the living room, slipping and sliding in his socks on the hardwood floor, screaming "YES!" at the top of his lungs. "I WIN, I WIN, I WIN!"
Damian and Dick went into the kitchen to tell Alfred that they were ready for dinner. While Tim and Jason went straight to the dining room.
"I'm pretty sure Master Bruce is going to join you four for dinner tonight," Alfred said. Damian hopped up on the counter and said "I won the game of Hide and Go Seek, Pennyworth." "Very nice Master Damian," Alfred responded.
Dick tried to pick him up to go to the dining room for dinner, but Damian scurried backwards, away from Dick. Dick threatened that he wouldn't play Hide and Seek or read to Damian after dinner if he didn't pick him up. At that Damian dove into Dicks arms and Dick put him on his hip.
They walked into the dining room and Dick clipped Damian into his high chair because he is still extremely small for his age. Jason was sitting across from Dick, Tim was on one side of Dick, and Damian was on the other. There was a seat for Bruce at the head of the table but he usually ate in his office or down in the Batcave because he's always to busy.
"So," Dick said, "Alfred said Bruce might eat with us tonight." And right on cue Bruce walked through the door. "Hello father," said Damian when he spotted Bruce.
"How was your day, boys?" Bruce asked in his rough, scratchy voice. He sounded tired, Dick thought.
"I won the game of Hide and Go Seek," said Damian. "I think Dick cheated," Jason said narrowing his eyes at the boy. "For the last time Jay, I didn't cheat," Dick sounded exasperated.
"Well, I had board meetings all day today, it was very dull at work," Bruce said, trying to stop the argument before it starts. Just then, Alfred walked into the dining room and placed the food onto the table. While he was setting the food down Damian asked, "What are we having tonight Pennyworth?" "We are having some grilled cheese with a side of chilled tomato bisque, I also have fruit punch if any of you want that." "Can I have some right now?" asked Tim hopefully. "No, you know the rule, plus it's hot outside, you need to stay hydrated," said Bruce beating Alfred to saying it.

When they were done Alfred came in and collected the dishes to wash. "Alright boys, it's time for bed," Bruce said. "But I thought I got to go on patrol tonight," Jason whined. "I'm the only one going on patrol tonight, there's a Wayne Gala tomorrow night and I don't want you to look sleep deprived."
Following Bruces wishes Dick unbuckled Damian from his high chair and put him on his chest, bouncing slowly up and down. Tim had started to fall asleep at the dinner table so, Bruce picked him up and carried him the same way Dick was carrying Damian. Damian started falling asleep in Dicks arms on the way up the stairs and started sucking his thumb with his other arm clinging to Dick's neck. Both of Tim's arms were wrapped around Bruce's neck in a hugging gesture and Jason was holding Bruce's hand, kind of getting pulled toward their bedrooms.
They all went into Damian's room, so Bruce could read them a story. Dick walked over to Damian's bed and gently attempted to place Damian down, but the arm around his neck was wrapped around his neck too tightly to do that. So, Dick just sat there with Damian wrapped around his neck. Bruce sat beside Dick on the bed and Jason sleepily walked over to the bookshelf grabbed a book and sat down on Bruce's other side, Tim in Bruce's lap. And Bruce started reading The Magic Misfits by: Neil Patrick Harris. They got to Chapter 4 and Bruce realized everyone except Dick was asleep, so Bruce folded the page and put a finger to his lips indicating that Dick should be quiet.
Dick removed Damian's arm from around him and laid him down on his bed. Then tucked him in and kissed his forehead goodnight. Then took Tim from Bruce so Bruce could carry Jason.
Dick followed Bruce out of the room and quietly shut the door. They made their way to Tim's room and Dick placed Tim down on his bed. Dick tucked him in and again kissed him on his forehead goodnight.
They made their way to Jason's room and Dick opened the door. Bruce set him down on his bed and Dick tucked him in and kissed his fore head goodnight. They left and Bruce scooped Dick into his arms because Dick was starting to fall over.
Bruce walked into Dicks room and set Dick down on his bed. Bruce tucked him in a walked out the door shutting it behind him and started to make his way to the Batcave.
