Work Text:
The last bell rang fifteen minutes ago, and all the parents had arrived to pick up their little ones.
The halls were devoid of students, and some of the teachers cheered and sang!
It was a Friday, and all were ready for the weekend! Yourself included.
You sagged into your teacher chair, feeling your muscles lose their strength to keep you upright. What an exhausting day. It was like this every Friday, where children would get extra rowdy, “squirrelier” than usual. Teeming with energy and growing jittery as the clock ticked closer and closer to the end.
Alas, you stopped thinking about what needed to be done for the next week. Papers can be looked at early Monday instead. You were ready for a break.
What to do on a Friday night?
“Hey sunshine!”
Looking up at your door was the blue-haired heartthrob who had the whole faculty, staff, and parents talking. His nickname was Sunny Day Jack, and you understood why. His bright smile and charismatic voice could charm anyone. His presence was a breath of fresh air that you needed after a long day. You gave a tired smile before standing.
“Afternoon, Mr. Sunny Day. Still bright and roaring with energy, I see?” You smiled as he rubbed his neck. He chuckled as he walked inside, taking one of the small chairs for the students. You snorted at how ridiculous he looked compared to the small plastic desk in front of your teacher’s desk. “So what brings you to my classroom? It’s time to go home.”
“No staying after to grade papers?”
“Not tonight. I’ll leave the pile for early Monday morning. It will be motivation for me to get up early.” You grabbed your purse and walked around your desk. You brushed down your blouse and skirt, double-checking to make sure you looked presentable. You missed Jack standing up from his seat with eyes honed on your attire.
“Um, you changed out of your clothes?”
“Oh, yes. I was asked out tonight. I want to look presentable. Make a good first impression for this blind date.”
“A blind date?” Jack’s face dropped before smiling as usual once you turned to look at him. You coughed into your fist with a bashful smile.
“My schedule usually doesn’t open up for time outside of work, so I told myself, why not take a chance? If I don’t, I don’t think I ever will…” You smiled whimsically before shaking your head. “Besides, no one wants to spend the rest of their lives alone. This might be my lucky night.”
You skipped out of your room, but not before waving to Jack.
“Wish me luck!”
XxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxX
“Just give me another beer.”
You bemoaned, sighing for the fifth time that hour. The bartender looked uncomfortable at your flushed face, but slid over the big pint of beer.
Usually, you never drank strong and hoppy beers regularly, but tonight called for something stronger than piña coladas.
You bit your lip. You were not going to cry over this. You knew what you were getting yourself into. It was a blind date, but the bastard stood you up. Not a single text that he would be running late. No apology flowers, no note from the waiter- how mortifying it was to be sitting in that restaurant alone for three hours!
You were tempted to just eat an expensive dessert, but it would be on your own tab.
Sniffling, you shoved the empty glass aside before grabbing for the fresh refill.
“Is that Ms. (L/N)?”
“(Y/N), what are you doing here?”
Hearing your name, you looked to your right to see some of the teachers from your school staring at you in shock! The biggest one being Jack!
Shocked as well, you spat your beer and choked! You didn’t see the wet bartender glaring at you because you were too busy coughing! You almost hacked out your lungs- they burned! Panic seeped into your blood-this was embarrassing.
“The fuck?!”
“Whoa! Teacher, foul language.” One teacher teased you.
“Shut the fuck up! What the hell are you all doing here?!” You hissed at the male science teacher. He raised his hands in mock surrender. The nurse was brave enough to walk up to you.
“Some of the teachers wanted to meet up for wings, appetizers, and beer tonight. With it being a Friday, we wanted to relax and enjoy each other’s company off the clock.”
Was that what Jack wanted to ask you when he came into your room? Seeing the big guy, you felt a tear drop. Slapping it off, you decided now was not a good night.
“I’m done. Let me pay my tab.”
“Oh, come on, art teacher! Don’t run off now! The party-”
The science teacher had the audacity to touch your lower back, which fell to your hip. Uncalled for. Your hand snatched his throat and slammed him against the bar table. Everyone’s attention was now on you.
“Take a damn hint. I don’t want your spoiled ass. Touch me without consent again, and I’ll break every digit in your hands. Count how many bones you have in your hands-that’s a lot of cracking!”
Once you let him go, the bartender was smart enough to place your receipt for you to sign.
Suddenly, it was swiped away. A black card was given back.
“Put her drinks on my tab.”
“Jack?” You then noticed the proximity of the two of you. Jack always did his best to seem friendly and gentle, but in the heat of things now, it wasn’t hard to notice how much taller and bigger he was than you.
“Come sit with us. You look like you could use some company.”
“I don’t want to talk-”
“You don’t even need to talk. Just hang out with us. No kids. No rude jerks. No bad dates. Just… friends shooting the breeze.”
His warm demeanor and words melted down your walls like wax, and the gentle hand on your upper back was respectful and safe. He always made you feel safe. Seeing his smile grow a little, you sniffled and huffed.
“One hour.”
XxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxX
“Can you believe my damn luck?! Not one respectful male out there with the common decency to reply!” You belched out, holding another pint of beer before downing the whole glass with cheers from other teachers and bystanders watching your group. The nurse was showing concern for your health, but some brushed it aside with another glass of alcohol.
“Stupid jerk! Don’t even think to call me back!! I’ll find another man ten times better than him! SCREW HIM!!” With anger, you snatched another drink-
Jack came into view and took it from your hand. He downed the offered drink and slammed it down on the table.
“I think Ms. (L/N) has had enough to drink for one night.”
Everyone blinked at Jack as he stood up. He took his suit jacket and draped it over your shoulders. Immediately, the stench of mixed drinks, stale peanuts, and cigars melted away to Jack’s natural musk wafting off the material. It felt safe. Safe enough to take the offered hand, he held out for you.
“I’ll take you home.”
“It’s okay! I’ll just drive- I mean, I’ll hail a cab.” Standing up on shaking legs wasn’t the best way to convince anyone that you could be left alone. Walking towards the exit was a challenge when your vision began to swim-
The firm and warm pack of muscles that hugged you close gave your body a shock to the system! Looking up at warm eyes had your senses tingling numb. Somehow, you shook your head no.
“Why couldn’t it have been you tonight?”
Jack blinked, your voice soft. He grew worried seeing tears appear.
“Let me take you home.”
With a wave goodbye to your faculty team, you were directed out, and the cold Fall chill blasted your face!
“Wow! Was that all I needed to wake up? I don’t feel too cloudy in the head.” You snorted and giggled to yourself as Jack helped you into his car. You watched as he strapped you into your seat before shutting the door. A smile grew as he turned on the ignition and rolled down the windows.
“Hope the breeze helps a bit.”
“Such a gentleman.” Your smile turned dopey, and a giggle followed right after. Why was your heart racing?
Blame it on the alcohol.
The drive was quiet, and the heated seat was slowly lulling you to fall asleep. The subtle scent of Jack’s suit coat helped your heart thump out of rhythm every five minutes.
You peeked over at the big guy, smiling with eyes sharp in the road. Suddenly, you grew sad again.
Why oh why were guys like him out of reach?
XxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxX
A gentle hand caught you before you fell out of your seat. The sudden movement jerked you awake.
“I’m awake!” You blurted out. Jack blinked at your words before snorting a chuckle. Red took over your face before being helped out of the seat.
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be.” Jack brushed off your comment, and once again, he helped you to your door. Instantly, your face went red, and you felt his arm secured around your waist. You could imagine the thirsty mothers asking what those thick arms feel like. You felt like you were floating a bit with each step he took- he had some long strides!
Your apartment was small, and if you remembered right, you didn’t clean up the dirty dishes in the sink for a week! The laundry basket is still left out in the living room!
“Um, thanks again, Jack. You always seem to be there when I need your help. Like tonight.” You looked down at your feet, embarrassed by how you behaved tonight. Finding something to do, you slipped off his jacket to hand it back.
“You’re too kind, Jack. Really.”
“It was nothing, really.” Jack smiled down at you, but you couldn’t meet his warm gaze. You were afraid you would melt. Turning your back towards him, you dug into your purse for your keys.
“I truly was hoping for a good night, but hanging out with everyone tonight perked me up. So I didn’t get the date night that I hoped for. Maybe I will be lucky next week.”
Suddenly, a wince and gasp shocked you to turn around. Jack was cradling his hand, and you grew worried seeing blood!
“Jack! What happened?! How did you start bleeding?! Was it the sharp banister?”
The old banister had chipped paint and old, rusted edges. You would file a complaint in the morning with the landlord.
“Come inside. I’ll dress the wound.”
Rushing in, you sat Jack down after taking off your shoes. Grabbing the first aid kit in your bathroom, you sat down to observe the injury.
“Let me see your hand.”
Even in your tipsy state, you were calm about taking care of his cut. Luckily, it was only his middle finger that got jabbed. Taking his gloves off, you took tweezers to pluck out the shard chip from his finger. Next was to spray the wound with alcohol before wiping the area clean. Lastly, you dabbed it dry before applying a Band-Aid to him.
“There. Good as new. I’m sure by Monday you can take it off. Or talk to the nurse if it’s itchy or burning.”
Jack looked at his finger and smiled at you as you packed away your kit.
“Thank you, Ms.(L/N).”
“Jack, we are off the clock. You can call me by my first name.” You giggled.
“(Y/N).”
Hearing your name come from his mouth inside your apartment had you shoot straight out of your seat!
“Let me put this away first!”
You stumbled out of your living room to put away the kit and try to control your wild beating heart!
“Calm down, girl-calm down! Jack is just a friend! Just a coworker! Calm your raging hormones!”
You repeated to yourself, even splashing your face to cool down. What a night. It couldn’t get any worse, could it?
Walking back out, you were about to apologize for leaving him alone-until you saw what was in his hands.
“PUT THAT DOWN!!” In your haste, you stumbled over a pair of shoes you promised yourself to put away and collided with Jack. Your eyes were only on the g-string underwear in his hand. “WHY DO YOU HAVE MY UNDERWEAR IN YOUR HANDS?!”
“My jacket was on top of it when I got up-”
Your basket of laundry was at his feet, and you both could see more undergarments in view. Both your faces took on a red hue.
“You’re a lacy kind of girl.”
“DON’T LOOK AT IIIIT!” You dove to hide them, but the damage was done. Jack was rubbing his neck, looking at the corner of your house, which you hoped was giving you a moment. Taking a blanket, you covered the basket and smiled bashfully.
“How about some water? I think we both need to calm down a bit!!”
Again, in your haste, you rushed to give yourself something to do, but blasted the faucet at full power to splash your face! At least you didn’t drop the glass on the floor.
“(Y/N), are you okay?”
Turning back to Jack, you were drenched from head to stomach. If things weren’t bad enough already…
“Ooh, I hate myself!” You suddenly cried. “I’m such a mess. I’m my own worst enemy. I’m not usually like this. This whole evening has been an emotional roller coaster, and I blame myself.”
“Don't do that (Y/N).” Jack stepped inside the kitchen, but you barked in retaliation!
“What’s wrong with me?!”
“Nothing!”
You blinked hot tears as he was now standing in front of you. A hot mess, wet like a drenched cat, and upset with how your Friday was turning out to be. What you didn’t see was sympathy or disappointment, but the same warm smile that could make anyone’s walls go down.
His warm hands suddenly cupped your face and swiped your cheeks clear of tears.
“Yes, you look like a mess, but I think you look so beautiful right now.”
Your heart slammed into your ribcage, and your pupils dilated from touch and words. However, you still didn’t believe what you heard.
“What?”
“(Y/N), you look like a mess, but I think you’re so cute right now. You don’t have to try so hard to be this perfect person. You’re already enough.”
“Jack.”
You suddenly couldn’t breathe. His words of encouragement were great pick-me-ups, but at this vulnerable moment, it was a strong, supportive presence that kept you afloat. And from sinking further into self-pity.
His forehead met yours, his body gently pressed up against your wet front, and your blood boiling into something else-
“No no no no no NO NO NOOOO!” You suddenly shoved the big man away! Keeping a safe distance, which was only an arm’s length away. Confusion was evident in Jack’s face, but you couldn’t see it as your eyes were swirling from mixed emotions and signals.
Again, you’re blaming the alcohol.
“Uh, (Y/N)?”
“Sorry, Jack! I-I-I-I’m wet! Wet! My shirt! And hair! I could get you wet and sick! It’s best to keep our distance. In fact, I need to get out of it!”
Your hands were clumsy to unbutton your blouse-
“STOP!”
The sudden roar from Jack and his hand grabbing your wrist froze you in a frozen state. You didn’t budge! Soon, you heard heavy breathing, and you dared your eyes to look up at Jack’s sweaty face.
Suddenly, you were caged against your kitchen wall- and your mouth was silenced by his warm pair!
You blinked to make sure you weren’t seeing or feeling things.
The next second, Jack pulled away so he could speak.
“That… was the laaast straw!”
He growled out before kissing you again. One strong arm slipped around your waist as the other seized both your wrists to pin them above your head.
Were you dreaming right now? Jack was definitely not kissing you in your apartment!!! His strong body was not pinning you against your wall and dominating your mouth and tongue?!
Your vision swam, blurry colors of yellow from your kitchen light and blue from Jack’s fluffy hair. His dark eyes illuminated in the dark once the light disappeared from your eyes. You heard the slam of a door before the second slam, and the next, you were falling. Softness met your back, and soon an inferno of heat hovered over your body.
His shirt was gone, his face was close, and darkness consumed your vision.
XxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxX
Your annoying Saturday alarm was ringing too loudly! Why on Earth did you set it in the first place? Oh yeah, working out. Not this morning.
The pounding in your head grew once you sat up in your bed. Only the Sun’s rays were the source of lighting in your room. You swear you could hear the next-door lady’s birds singing too loudly!
First, a pounding headache, and also a bad end to the not blind date.
“Well, I’ll be laying off alcohol for a long while! I’m my own worst enemy…”
Knowing you needed some coffee to help with the hangover, you slipped out of your bed to slowly shuffle to your kitchen. Stepping over clothes on the ground with practiced ease, you blindly walked into your living room-
And woke up to the smell of coffee in the air.
“Morning sunshine! I’ve made breakfast pancakes.”
You rubbed your crusty eyes to make sure you weren’t seeing things: Jack was in your kitchen cooking a full-course breakfast meal. It wasn’t that you didn’t have food; your fridge was stocked, but after a night of drinking, a piece of toast and coffee were all the energy you had to give.
A cup of coffee was given to your stupored face, and the warmth from the mug sparked you awake some more.
“Feeling okay, (Y/N)?” Jack’s impossible-to-ignore presence only made the illusion of a dream more real, especially when his big hand found your back to rub it soothingly. Your eyes grew, feeling it slide further down to the small of your back-
And flashes of last night came flooding your vision like a raging bus!!
CRASH!
Jack jumped back in surprise as your mug was now in pieces on the ground. You looked up to him in shock and horror before looking at yourself.
The love bites on your bare chest-
Your scream scared half your neighbors!
“Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god!!” You fumbled and almost tripped over your own feet as you raced back into your room and slammed the door shut!
“(Y/N)!! (Y/N)!!! Please open up! Sunshine, what’s wrong?!” The big blue giant knocked on your door in worry!!
“What’s wrong?! I slept with my co-worker!!!! The big, sexy, blue-haired teacher- I was drunk off my ass!”
You cried to yourself, now surrounded by your comforter, huddled against your door in a weeping mess. No wonder half your body was shaking- it wasn’t from the alcohol!
What damage has been dealt?
You dropped your comforter to look at your mirror behind your door- and gasped at the battle marks left behind!
The ever-gentle and sweet Jack was a beast in bed!
Your hips had his handprints bruised onto your skin.
Your thighs were a war zone of bites and nips of dried blood. He was worse than a thirsty mosquito in July!
Moving your hair aside, you blanched at seeing your neck- it was just as bad as your thighs!
Another ensemble of visuals from last night came back, and your crotch clenched at what was not there anymore.
“Sunshine! Please answer me!”
His knocking startled you, and your knees began to knock against each other. You didn’t know what to do-what could you say? Sorry that I was drunker than a skunk and blacked out before probably experiencing one of the greatest moments of my life?!?
“Jack.”
Your voice was hoarse as you peeked out the door. The door was yanked open, and immediately, you were back in the arms of Jack.
You were a skittish deer ready to bolt, but couldn’t now, having been imprisoned by Jack’s thick arms and sturdy body.
“Oh, sunshine. Are you okay? What’s wrong? Tell me what’s wrong?” His hand petted your hair, which was surprisingly soothing. You were slowly melting in his arms, and the shakes were leaning more towards light than scared.
His voice was gentle and coaxing, helping you relax and stay calm-
His dominant growls against your ear last night spoke of nasty thoughts and dirty deeds he would make promises of until he was satisfied-
“JACK! We need to talk!” You shoved yourself away from his intoxicating body. You didn’t get far, for he only allowed you inches of space. He was stronger than you after all.
“Sunshine.”
“Jack, please, this has to happen. We need to talk about… how are you wearing sweat pants?”
You took a minute to see that Jack had ditched his work clothes for sweats and a T-shirt. He was relaxed and laid back compared to you, who was tighter than a spring!
“Oh, this? I carry my workout clothes in my trunk. Ran to get some groceries for breakfast this morning.”
“You… left to buy more food? Jack-”
GROWL!
You both looked at your belly, which reminded you that your tank was on empty. Jack chuckled as your face burned red!
“Let’s enjoy breakfast together, and then we’ll talk, okay?”
Curse him and his bribery with food.
XxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxX
You sip on the second cup of coffee and sigh happily.
You peeked up at Jack as he poured himself a cup before wiping down the countertops of your kitchen. The man can cook, clean, and he’s great with kids- he was the whole package!
On top of being in great shape, too?
“Why on Earth are you still single?”
Jack flinched from cleaning to look back at you in surprise. Did you say that out loud?
“Sorry! That slipped out!”
“If you are truly that curious, I can tell you.”
A dust of pink speckled his cheeks before he sat down opposite you. With coffee in hand, he smiled gently at your timid expression.
Then he reached over and took your hands.
“Jack?”
“(Y/N), I didn’t do all this out of sympathy. Cooking and cleaning and… well, taking care of you. All of that was because I want to be with you.” His big hands cupped yours in a gentle caress of his thumbs over the back of your knuckles.
“To me, you… are my sunshine.”
Your face flushed red and grew hot, and no, it was not the coffee!
Thinking back, you remembered him bringing you coffee or tea, depending on your day, and his smile never broke with you when you had time to shoot the breeze. Even when he would have singing time with his kids, his favorite was “You Are My Sunshine.”
His face always lit up when he saw you.
Were you that oblivious to the signs?!
“But, you’re nice to everyone…” Your voice was small, and you felt a sudden chill. Was his attention really that special if he would treat someone just as well?
Jack grew in shock seeing you pull your hands away from his, but the next second-
You gasped when he stood up and pulled you into his arms. His strength was warm and firm. Once again, you were melting, your hips trembling, being this close to this man. This solid man was pouring his whole heart out to you.
Do you believe his words?
“(Y/N), my sunshine. Please believe me when I say that I adore you.” His husky voice shook both your bodies. Your knees were about to knock against each other, growing weaker, so you shook your head wildly to knock out the memories of last night. His big hand held the back of your head, with soft rubs to your scalp by his fingertips.
“Do you not understand that seeing your smile at school every day makes my day seem brighter? Giving warm hugs to the children makes my heart throb, seeing you so sweet. Sunshine, my sunshine. You are perfect.”
“Stop. Stop. Stop, please?!!” Your face was overheating! Goodness, this man-he was too much! When Jack loved someone, he loved with his whole heart. Body too, but more importantly, he was genuine, kind, and supportive.
Did he have to prove it any more than what he had done since last night? Since you two had met?
“(Y/N)?”
“Jack, you’re too much, but I understand what you’re trying to say. That I’m special. Just for you.” Goodness! Saying this mushy stuff out loud was making you lose face! This was Jack here! The lovable hunk that got along with everyone! The perfect husband material that just keeps on giving.
“And you?”
“Eh?”
Why was he putting you back in the spotlight?! Your face was growing hotter from talking about these things.
He said nothing, but he silently asked with a questionable curl of the eyebrows. The adorable tilt of his head was hard to resist!
With a whine, you held his face and kissed him quickly!
“I never thought I even had a chance. You seemed… impossible.”
“(Y/N).”
“And I also didn’t want to be seen like I was part of the thirsty group of women that practically drool over you every day. I’m sure that gets annoying after a while. And being your friend was plenty. Even if I thought once or twice how nice it would be… to be…”
“Lovers?”
Looking up at Jack’s eager face, it was safe to say you both were on the same page. You honestly imagined a fluffy tail wagging as you nodded.
“Yes. It just seemed too good to be truuuuuue!”
Suddenly, you were scooped off the floor and hugged tightly by the primary beau in your kitchen.
“Thank you (Y/N). I promise I’ll take good care of you.”
“You make me sound like a pet more than your girlfriend.” You giggled from the kisses to your forehead before they abruptly stopped.
“You said…?”
“Yes, Jack. That would make you my boyfriend.”
You hugged his head, cuddling against his fluffy hair, which had you giggling. You always wondered how soft his hair was. You can check it off your list of wonders about Jack.
His hair was indeed as soft as you dreamed. What is his secret hair care routine?
A hoarse curse rumbled against your chest before you gasped at being dropped. You landed on your kitchen table as a huffing Jack licked his lips, staring down at you with smoldering intensity.
“Uh, Jack?” You quivered seeing him adjust his sweats with a quick yank!
“We’re celebrating~.”
“NOT ON THE KITCHEN TABLE!!!”
XxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxX
“Good morning, Ms. (Y/N)! I hope you had a relaxing week- Oh my goodness!!” The nurse was the first to greet Monday morning as you walked into the school building.
More like hobbling inside the building. You had to borrow your neighbor’s cane for the day. You prayed it was only one day.
“Just had a bad tumble down my stairs at my apartment. No need to fuss over me. I’ll survive.” You smiled reassuringly before trying to walk normally towards your classroom. Two teachers had stopped talking amongst themselves to gawk at your new walk. You willed your face not to grow inflamed by embarrassment.
You whimpered as you cursed inwardly on your new beau.
“Someone needs to teach that man restraint! This is embarrassing!” You grumbled to yourself, hearing giggles mixed with concerned voices.
“Well, hey, Ms. (Y/N)! Good morning to you-whoa. Why do you have a cane?” The annoying science teacher walked up with a sleazy smile before noticing the metal cane in your hand.
“My apartment has an old banister that is losing its strength. I fell down the stairs.” You answered through gritted teeth. You needed to sit down before your hips started to wobble.
“Would you like some assistance?”
“Not at all. Thank you, though.” You quickly declined before unlocking your door.
Walking inside, you blinked at your lights being on. Looking at your desk, you gasped and dropped your cane to the ground.
A large bouquet of edible fruit was sitting at your desk, with some dipped in chocolate. Your heart melted at the sweet scene before you. Tiredness gone, you walked up to your desk with a hand over your heart.
“Awww, this is too sweet! Who did this?”
“Who else?” A husky breath tickled your ear, which spooked you to jump around.
The unmistakable heat washed over your back like a stroke of a brush!
Jack’s chuckle was like warm caramel to the ears, and his supportive arm kept you from falling to the ground.
“Jack!” You swatted his chest with a huff, but a small bouquet of red and white roses was now in your face.
“And these are for you.”
You've never received something like this before, and once again, you were left smiling like a fool.
“They’re beautiful. Thank you.”
“I heard the banister took you down some stairs. Do I need to rush you to urgent care?”
“As much as I would like a day of rest, I’m sure I can make it through and just go home early if needed. I’m sure I will be fine if I stay away from rusty banisters and eager puppies.”
If Jack were a dog, his tail would be flapping up a storm! His bright smile helped show off how excited he was after school.
“Mr. Sunny Day Jack! Do. Not. Look at me. With those greedy eyes!” You smacked him lightly with the bouquet at each word to emphasize that it was not happening today! His laughter was almost contagious if it weren’t for the loud thud behind you!
THUD!
Looking back, you see the gaping expression of the annoying science teacher staring at both of you. For a second, you flinched at the company still in your room. And the warm touch of Jack’s hand over your ass. Honestly, you forgot about the jerk.
“Oh, uh, hi. Mr. Tortellini.” You awkwardly smiled.
“I’ll see myself out now.”
Without another word, he left his box and walked out.
“Wait, you forgot your box… never mind. I’ll bring it.”
“Don’t push yourself, love! I’ll take care of that. You just relax before the children arrive. Let me know if you need anything.” Jack kissed you on the forehead before scooping up the cardboard box.
You blinked at his words before looking to the side.
“Anything?~”
Jack locked up, one step away from walking out-in three steps, he was back at your side. Already, his breathing was haggard.
“Anything.”
WHACK!
“Then learn some fucking restraint!!” You barked with a stomp of your foot. Jack had one hand holding the box while his other hand rubbed his cranium from your cane.
He looked like a kicked puppy now.
“Why?”
You choked at his response before stomping the cane twice on the floor.
“Why?! All Saturday, you couldn’t keep your hands off me, and just when I could finally rest and rejuvenate- you tricked me with food…” You grumbled the last part before rubbing your face in frustration! He cooked for you again, then trapped you in that kitchen!
“The handprints won’t go away…” You grumbled low while glaring at him. Jack, however, saw it differently.
“Your hips don’t lie. They're shaking right now because they miss my touch.”
Your face erupted red before swinging your cane wildly at him. Luckily, he was fast enough not to get hit this time.
“Get out! Out! Out! Out! You are banned from my room!”
“What?!” Jack looked appalled, but your stance was firm.
“Banned!”
Jack’s face crumbled, and he whimpered as a dark cloud rained on his day. You didn’t want him to be this depressed all day, for everyone in the school would try to make him feel better to no avail. In the end, it had to be you who fixed it.
You groaned before you sat down at your desk, watching the retreating, sad man walk with a heavy head.
“Be a good boy and have a good day.”
You bit your lip from laughing, seeing the spring in his body snap! He stood tall again and looked over his shoulder at you. The box in his hand whipped around to cover his crouch!
You shouldn’t have said anything.
“You know what, I take it back. You are not a pup. You’re a big over-affectionate bull.”
“Am I a cute one?”
You choked then laughed at the face he made.
Jack grew weak at your pure laughter. He dropped to his knees. He was sporting a hard one, and it was only the beginning of the school day!
Jack didn’t worry, though. He would convince you somehow. By bribery of food or circumstances. He’d find a way.
Anything for you.~
