Work Text:
Tanjirou boards the train with Nezuko close behind.
It's a crisp autumn morning with leaves in various shades of reds and yellows. Nezuko is dozing lightly on his shoulder where they sit on the bench seats.
He looks out the window across from him at the barely rising sun, pale pinks and blues bleeding into the sky, the moon still slightly visible in the distance.
He pulls his phone out and snaps a photo of it, sending it off to Kanao.

good morningggggg!!! saw this and thought of you!! (^^
He smiles at his phone before setting it in his lap. There's a small giggle to his side, he turns his head to see Nezuko with a smug little grin on her face staring back at him.
He ducks his head, face flushing bright red, "stop..." he mutters his shoulders slowly hiking higher. Nezuko just huffs again, laying her head back on his shoulder.
He thinks that's the end of that before her quiet voice pipes up. "you text her good morninggg," she drags the words out teasingly. Tanjirou sighs and sinks lower into his seat, absolutely not pouting.
His phone buzzes, a text from Kanao.
<Kanao♡>

It's a picture of a small cat on the side of the street napping, all small and curled up with flower petals covering it like a blanket. The soft sunlight makes everything look a thousand times cuter.
He smiles down at his phone, sending a little heart back in response. He angles it to show his sister, nudging her lightly to look. She blinks slowly, smiling at the photo when she finally sees it.
Tanjirou's about to turn his phone off when movement in the corner of his eye catches his attention, he looks up quickly to see not one, not two, but three of his teachers in various awkward sleeping positions on the opposing bench.
He nudges Nezuko again, a little harsher this time. She grunts with displeasure, but looks up begrudgingly. Her eyes follow her brothers, and she has to muffle a snort in her cardigan sleeve. Tanjirou can't even bring himself to scold her like he normally would, he's also got a hand over his mouth to trap any attempts of laughter from escaping.
Mr. Rengoku is the closest one, his bag loosely held in his lap while slouched forward into the side of the bench, almost laying down completely on his side. Tanjirou notes that even while sleeping, he smiles.
Next is Mr. Tomioka, their PE teacher isn't even sitting on the bench, he's slumped over the seat while kneeling on the ground, like he couldn't even sit down fully before falling asleep. He's bound to have at least a back ache for the rest of the day.
and last is Mr. Iguro. The chemistry teacher isn't as bad off as the other two, but Tanjirou can hear his snoring from where he's sitting, now that he's paying attention. He's leaned back with his arms crossed, his snake companion is snuggled into his sweater, with only his little white head poking out from the collar.
Tanjirou hears a shutter click beside him, and looks over to Nezuko, who's already sending it to her little group of friends. "Nezuko!" he hisses quietly trying not to further disturb the rest of the passengers. His sister only raises her brows at him, "what?" she asks, like she's done nothing wrong.
Tanjirou sighs, chuckling lightly. He turns to look at his teachers again, raising his phone after a moment of thought and snapping his own picture. He hears Nezuko giggle again, he shushes her.
He sends the photo to Kanao with little hesitation, he trusts her to not go around showing everyone, lest they get in trouble. Kanao sends back a shocked chat sticker, then a laughing one.
Tanjirou huffs quietly, before setting his phone down in his lap, closing his eyes and tilting his head back, enjoying the sunshine once again.
