Chapter Text
It all started on January 28th, 2016, a date that from then on was scratched out in Len's Callender.
He was at Vflower's house for some important gathering when he bumped into what he thought was his dear friend Oliver, who apparently had a drastic change in clothing style? A bit surprised, he waved.
"Heyy Oliver, love the new look!"
He was then met with the deepest, scariest voice ever.
"The fuck did you just call me?"
"Aghhh! Who are you!?!"
"Ah, it looks like you've met our new vocaloid!"
Vflower said as she walked into the room.
"His voicebank was just released today. Fukase, say hi to Len."
"No, the faggot called me brittish."
"Who are you calling faggot? You fucking faggot! I called you Oliver because you're short."
"That doesn't make it any better. And for your information, I am gay, what are you gonna do about it?"
The two boys were then whacked on the head with a nearby oven mit.
"Enough, you two. Fukase, go to the living room with the others."
Fukase quickly left the room, leaving Len and Vflower alone.
"Len, I know he's an asshole, but please just tolerate him for his birthday and don't cause a scene. You can hate him after that all you want."
"It's his birthday?"
He then thought back to when Vflower said he was just released today.
"Ugh, that means I have to go get him something... Tell the others I'll be back."
"Thank you, my dear. I'll save you a spot on the couch!"
Len quickly walked away, trying to hide his blush. He could be arrogant at times, but for some reason he felt like he needed to straighten his act up around Vflower. She was pretty, and a bit more masculine which he liked. She could also be scary at times but she was mostly a very friendly person.
He didn't really like the idea of getting that jerk a present, but he always felt obligated to buy people gifts on their birthday. Plus, it would probably make Vflower proud.
"I'm only doing this for her."
He grumbled to himself as he walked into the nearest gas station. He walked around and picked out some candy he thought Fukase would enjoy, and two monsters. He then rushed back to the house.
When he got back, Rin opened the door for him.
"Bro, where did you go?"
"I had to get Fuckass or whatever his name was a gift."
"Oh, then you arrived just on time!"
She dragged him to the living room where Fukase was opening his presents. He was surprisingly polite, making sure to read all the cards out loud and thank the person if they were there. Eventually, there was only one present left.
Len walked up to Fukase and handed him the bag.
"Sorry it's not much, I was on a time crunch..."
"That's ok I guess."
Fukase reached inside the bag and pulled out the candy bags, and the monster.
"Oh, these look really good! You know, I haven't tried any energy drinks yet. Not bad, thanks blondie!"
Everyone chuckled to each other as Len turned red from embarrassment. Did Fukase seriously just call him a name? In front of everyone? After he ran to and from the gas station just to get him a gift?!? He wanted to yell at him but decided it wasn't worth it. Instead, he murmured "You're welcome" and went to sit with his sister.
Rin turned to him and giggled.
"You should've seen your face. Don't tell me you have a crush on him or something."
Len nearly spat out his drink.
"Hell no!"
They both laughed about it and quietly ate their cake. Len was grateful that he could avoid the weird boy and enjoy some time with his sister which was something they hadn't done in a long time.
Eventually, it was time to go home. As Rin and Len were leaving, they were stopped by Fukase, who was thanking everyone.
"Thank you Rin, the bowtie was lovely! And thanks for the candy, blondie."
"I have a name..."
"And now you have a nickname too! Enjoy your night and hope I didn't poison your slice of cake, blondie~"
Len dragged Rin, who was laughing her ass off, outside and towards Meiko and Kaito's car.
"I'm telling you Len, you two totally have potential"
"Fuck no, he's an asshole!"
The second they arrived at home and Meiko unlocked the front door, Len ran to his room to get dressed for bed. He had decided from that day on that he and Fukase were sworn enemies.
