“Twenty years ago, my father, Dillon, the RPM Black Ranger, and his friends Scott Truman, Flynn McAllister, Summer Landsdown, Ziggy Grover, Gem, and Gemma destroyed Venjix. The rangers were disbanded, and the morphers locked securely away... or so we thought. Now 20 years later Venjix is back for revenge this time I’m not sure he can be stopped. “My name is Jasmine and this is my family's story…the story of how we saved Corinth and defeated Venjix once and for all. Buckle up as this story is long and tragic. It started as any other day I was making breakfast with Autumn Lansdown ,my best friend, and my cousin Jason was annoying us.”
“Hey, Jaz whatcha makin?” Jason asked grabbing a drink from the fridge “Pancakes Jason” Autumn answered him cause I sure wasn’t going to. “They sound good save me some,” Jason said to Autumn winking at her slightly. I rolled my eyes as Autumn turned bright red. “Don’t you have anything better to do, Jason, like working on your nonexistent muscles?” I asked tauntingly. Jason rolled his eyes “I do too have muscles, Jasmine”. Autumn frowned at me mouthing ‘Be nice Jaz’ I smiled at her before shaking my head no.
Max Marie and Alex walk, looking like they had just gotten out of bed. “Morning guys,” I said smiling at them. “Morning,” Alex said smiling, Marie waved before rubbing her eyes. Max just grunted. “Right not a morning person,” I said nodding at him. Autumn handed Max a plate of pancakes and bacon. Max gave her a small smile “Thanks Aut” he said before sitting down and eating. Chris walked in paying attention to what was in his hands and not the world around him and he walked into Jason.
Jason shoved him into the counter “Hey nerd watch where you are walking.” Chris looked up at him “Sorry Jason” he said looking upset. I glared at Jason before yelling ‘would you start being nicer to Chris Jason Truman?” Jason laughed before answering “No Robogirl I won’t”. Max stood up from the table “Jason apologize to Jaz now” he said glaring at Jason. Jason swallowed, and rolled his eyes, before looking back at me. “Sorry Scrappy- I mean Jaz,” he said, not sounding sorry at all. I rolled my eyes before patting Max’s arm “Im fine Maxy” I told him smiling. “It doesn’t matter he’s your cousin he shouldn’t be saying things like that to you,” Max said frowning before returning to his food.
Chris looked at me frowning “Speaking of the Venjix tech my mom put in you how are you feeling?” he asked concerned. “If you are referencing my illness I’m fine and so is the tech,” I said. Chris smiled weakly before saying “Good let me know if that changes.” “What are you kids talking about?” a female voice asked behind me. “Hi Aunt Summer,” I said turning around to see all of our parents standing there looking at us.
Uncle Scott was staring at Jason crossing his arms over his chest, “Jason how many times have I told you to stop talking to Jasmine like that, especially since your Mother and Uncle have the same tech in them?” “It’s like cancer. I can joke about it 'cause it runs in my family” Jason said. Uncle Scott sighed rubbing his face “Where did I go wrong with you?” he asked out loud. Aunt Tenaya approached her husband rubbing his back before looking at her son, “Jason you may be 19 but I will still ground you.” Dad said, “Besides you being a bully to your younger cousin isn’t going to help matters.” “But it sure does help me enjoy life.” He said, smirking like a little bitch. Aunt Tenaya gave Jason a look “Apologize to your uncle and cousin right now young man.” “Sorry Ma…” Jason turned to face me and my father. He didn’t want to apologize but Aunt Tenaya is one of the few people he’s scared of and respects. “Sorry cuz, Sorry Uncle Dillon…” Dad nodded “Jason words can hurt use them wisely.”
As we were talking an alarm went off and our parents and Doctor Katherine Grover all tensed overhearing. Aunt Summer said in a panicked voice “He’s back? How?” Uncle Scott said, “He shouldn’t be able to where is he?” Aunt Katherine said, “he’s at his palace?” Uncle Ziggy said, “Let’s grab our morphers and go investigate and take his ass down….again.”
Uncle Scott nodded “Let’s, go team!”. As our parents all grabbed their morphers and jackets my dad stopped kissed the top of my head and smiled before walking out the door. If I had known them what was going to happen I would have run after them.
