Chapter Text
Minkar Andrea Merope was not the type to cause trouble. At least, not until he turned 11 and got a letter delivered by owl. At first he thought, "Why would someone deliver a letter by owl?" And then he had read the letter.
- .. -- . ... -.- .. .--.
"To: Mr.Minkar Merope,
Cosmo House,
72A Salusbury Road,
London, England."
Minkar read the envelope, not understanding why the letter was addressed to him and not his aunt. He read on,
" Dear Mr.Merope,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Please find an enclosed list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.
Yours sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall
Deputy Headmistress."
Minkar finished reading and decided that he would wait until his aunt got home to read the page of supplies. "Vos, Procyon, can you guys come to the living room please?" He yelled loud enough for his voice to reach his sisters, both of which were in Vos's room playing a card game. Vos, his sister who was 2 years younger than him, abandoned the card game and grabbed Procyon, his other sister who was a year younger than Vos, by the hand and ran down the stairs to the living room with her in tow. "Yes bubba?" Procyon asked him. He responded, "We're gonna go to the park a few blocks down and play with the other blokes and lasses that are there, okay?" "We get to go to the park?!" It wasn't surprising to Minkar that Vos had asked that, Aunty didn't let them go to the park often. "Yeah, Aunty said that it would do us good to go outside some more, whatever that means," Minkar answered.
They played at the park for a few hours, and by the time they got home, it was about 3:30pm. "We should go wash up, so we don't get anything dirty. At least change and wash our clothes anyway," Minkar told his sisters. Their aunt would be home at 5:30, and she wasn't a fan of keeping dirt on your clothing. Once they all had changed, Procyon and Vos gave their dirty clothes to Minkar. They all knew how to do laundry, Aunty wanted to make sure they could care for themselves before the time came where it was needed, but Minkar preferred to do the laundry. "Okay, now that I've started the laundry, Vos please go check that there are no dirty dishes, and if there are, clean them. Procyon, please go check that we didn't track any dirt into the house, if we did, clean it." It wasn't that they would get in trouble or anything, but they didn't want to put any extra burdens on their aunt's shoulders, not if they weren't needed.
This chapter isn't completed, but I had to post it or it would be deleted, so here it is.
