Izuku Midoriya and the Power of One for All

Summary:

An orphaned superhero-loving boy, believed initially to be quirkless, learns he possesses a powerful quirk. One that led to the death of his parents at the hands of the feared villain, All for One. With this knowledge, he's invited to enrol in UA High School, where he'll meet the people who become his allies and help him discover why All for One targeted him and his parents.

Notes:

This story is based on the Harry Potter franchise but will have a little My Hero Academia twist.

So, to clarify, I'm using the Harry Potter storyline as an inspiration for this series but recreating it to fit the My Hero Academia universe, with some minor differences. I hope I can do this idea justice and that you enjoy it.

I'll try to update as frequently as possible, and if you have any ideas. Feel free to list them.

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

October 31

All Hallows Eve

A cold breeze swept through the streets on All Hallows’ Eve in the dark of the night. Children dressed in costumes travel, trick-or-treating or pranking one another. Yet, within a sleepy suburban neighbourhood, on the outskirts of Musutafu, the streets remained peaceful and quiet.

“MASARU, THE DEMON SPAWN IS CRYING!” The sudden yelling of a loud woman disturbed the silence.

From down the road, at the very bottom held the Bakugo household; this small family had a strong mother known as Mistuki, the subdued but respectable Masaru and their six-month-old son, Katsuki.

Not too far from the corner, lazed against a cold brick wall, another pair of eyes observed from afar. Their thoughts were a mystery to any onlooker who spotted them. His face was expressionless, and the cold, dead-eyed stare watched the family. He couldn’t say that he was bored, for one does not simply get bored of watching the Bakugo family. They were not dull.

“Mitsuki, maybe Katsuki’s just feeling hungry; we could try feeding-”

“I fed him an hour ago.”

“You could try again.”

“Then why don’t you try feed-OW! HE BIT MY FINGER!” Mitsuki yelled, “NO BITING KATSUKI!”

They were one hell of an explosive family, that’s for sure. The man mused.

Suddenly, his eyes darted to the corner of the street as he noticed the small figure standing in the quiet neighbourhood. They started to move closer as their appearance became more apparent, almost like a mouse/dog/bear-like creature. Despite their animalistic appearance, the air of intelligence between those black eyes created a sense of wisdom.

“It seems you’ve arrived remarkably early, Aizawa; I do hope you weren’t lazing around,” the small figure commented.

Silently, the man moved out of the shadows, eyeing down the hybrid-like lifeform.

ERASURE HERO: ERASER HEAD

NAME: SHOTA AIZAWA

QUIRK: ERASURE

This quirk allows the user to cancel out the quirk of anyone they look at, but for it to work, they must be able to keep their opponent in sight.

Unblinking in their stare-off, the man spoke, “I should’ve known you’d catch on quick, Nezu,” he paused. “Although with you here, it must be the situation has gotten drastic.”

“Of course, with all the pro heroes celebrating, the chance of crime spiralling out of control is possible, but I can’t see the fault in the celebrations,” the tiny hero chuckled.

“I know that, but this still has me on edge. It’s strange how quickly the world has shaken since the organisation fell; you’d think they’d be cautious about stragglers and small-time crime. It’s too much work if I could say anything...” Aizawa trailed off as he noticed Nezu’s blank stare. “The rumours are true, aren’t they?” He asked, straight to the point. “They’re dead.”

Nezu stood quietly for a moment but responded, “Unfortunately, yes.”

Aizawa nodded and asked, “And the boy?”

“I sent All Might to get him.”

“And him?”

“Gone.”

Aizawa sighed. “Are you sure it’s safe to leave him with these people, Nezu?” He questioned.

“It’s what his parents wanted. If I know one thing, Shota, I trust Inko’s judgement.”

“Nezu, you realise this means for the boy, right?”

“I know,” Nezu spoke, “but that’s why we must do this.”

Step. Step. Step. Step.

The two heroes turned at the sound of approaching footsteps, and they immediately noticed a man’s big and tall figure. Blonde hair and a blue/red suit.

Toshinori Yagi, more known as All Might. The Number One Hero of Japan.

“Toshinori, you’re here,” Nezu spoke as the man stood before them. A green blanket wrapped around a tiny figure in All Might's arms. “How is he?” He asked, looking at the baby boy.

“He’s alright,” All Might responded, “Just sleeping. I don’t blame him either; he’s had a rough night.”

All Might look down at the sleeping baby in his arms. His eyes were saddened as he stared at the innocent face of this child—a child who didn’t deserve this fate. His blue eyes darted over the boy’s freckles before he tightened his arms around the bundle to protect him more from the world’s cruelty.

“Don’t worry, Toshinori,” Nezu assured. “He’s in safe hands now. He will not get him, I promise.”

All Might nodded and raised his fist to knock on the door.

Nezu gazed softly at the baby. “This is where I’ll leave you, but soon we will meet again. Good luck,” he paused, “Izuku Midoriya.”

Click. Creak.

The front door opened to reveal Masaru and Mitsuki Bakugo.
