Chapter Text
Abraham groaned, his head was pounding. He was laying on a soft surface, which was odd as the last thing he remembered was leaning over the veil of death while exchanging theories with his fellow aurors.
Merlin, he loved his job but he couldn't deny how dangerous it was, whether you were on a case or not. When he'd given up on his carrier as a field auror a couple weeks back, after that nasty bone-breaker , he thought the days of waking up in a foreign bed not remembering why he was there, pain coursing all over his body were over.
The sound of steps approaching roused him from his half awake state.
"Sir are you awake?", American? Damn, wasn't he in England last he checked, attending his uncle Ralsond Potter's funerals?
"Bloody hell, keep it down will you?" The man whispered harshly. "Or don't. I want to know why I'm in the hospital. And skip over the airy-fairy details, will you?", Abraham groused. "C'mon we don't got all day lady.", Abraham groused, then sighed, well he can't ignore the yank's influence on his way of speaking any more. "Listen kid, apologies 'bout my." The lump figure sighed as the nurse stopped, he was such a bastard, mommy sure was rolling in her grave by now. The man banished the image of his mother berating him for the umpteenth time, "Jus' got a bloody migraine is all."
Minutes after the kid left, a woman wearing blue medical looking uniform came to his bedside.
"Avvy, sweetheart, my glasses, wouldn't you know where they are by any chance? I'm afraid there absence is only making my migraine worse.", his smile turned to a grimace when he saw her shake her head. "Then go ahead, ask your questions."
He needed information, he needed to know if he was surrounded by no-mages or witches and wizards. If he was back home he needed to find either Graves or Fontaine, they had pranks to finish, they had to get back at MacDuff and O'Brien.
"Very well sir, "
