A Wedding Full of Memories

Summary:

Osamu and Rintaro get married and have to listen to Osamu's little sister's "best man" speech. To say it gets embarrassing and cute would be an understatement.

Authors note:
Yuzuki is my OC; She's Atsumu's and Osamu's younger sister by three years.

Notes:

I think I read somewhere that Suna has a younger sister (in canon), sadly I can't find it anymore, so I won't claim she's canon.
Anyway, he has a younger sister in this story, who I named "Mai".

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Weddings were always a pain to plan. Osamus and Rintarous' wedding was just about the same. As Osamu's best man it was Atsumu's responsibility to help organise the wedding and he would never let anyone steal the title of best man from him so he took that responsibility very seriously… At least for a week or so. Enter Yuzuki, who had hoped that Osamu's wedding would be relaxing for her. Drink, eat, party, have overall one hell of a great time and then fall into bed and sleep in the next morning. Well her wedding plans crashed when Atsumu knocked at her door about a week after being announced best man, crying for her help with organising the wedding.

"I don’t know where to start! Did you know how much planning goes into a wedding? How am I supposed to organise it?” Yuzuki thought he was overreacting but invited him into her shared appartement anyway, making coffee for the two of them and listening to Atsumu rant on. “I get yer overwhelmed and all but what exactly has any of that got to do with me?” she had asked him once he calmed down. Atsumu had given her one of his looks and she wasn’t entirely sure if she hadn’t made a mistake by inviting him in.

“Yer a girl, shouldn’t you know how to organise stuff?” Yuzuki had pondered whether Atsumu had forgotten that she was absolutely the worst when it came to making lists, working on them from top to bottom and then checking everything off or if he just chose to ignore it. “What do ya mean ‘I’m a girl’? That doesn’t mean I know how to plan a wedding. I’ve got stuff to do ya know.” They had started bickering back and forth when Atsumu threw his hands up in the air. “Ya get to hold an extra speech if ya help me organise the damn wedding, how’s that sound?”

That’s how Yuzuki ended up calming down Atsumu's nerves on Osamu's wedding day and texting Rintarous sister, Mai, if everything on her end was going as planned. It was her own fault for accepting her brother's simple terms but she was just a simple girl who couldn’t decline the offer to embarrass her brothers in front of a ton of people who knew them.

“Are ya going to be alright or are ya going to cry your eyes out for the next twenty minutes? It’s not even yer wedding, it's Samus!” Atsumu sniffed indignantly while Yuzuki gave him another tissue. She looked around the hotel room they rented for the wedding. Osamu was sitting in front of a mirror, getting his hair done (not that there needed to be done a lot) while his entourage consisting of Aran, Kita and Ginjima was lounging around the room, getting themselves ready as well.

Yuzuki sighed while rubbing her temple. Good thing she didn’t need an hour to get ready herself and an even better thing having Suna Mai, Rintarous younger sister, around who had done both their hair and make-up three hours prior. Yuzuki was glad to have Mai at her side planning their brother's wedding since she was pretty good at organising.

“I’m sorry. It’s just...my brother’s getting married and I don't know I'm just so happy for him but also what if something goes wrong… I could never forgive myself.”

“Well he’s also my brother who’s getting married. Trust me nothing will go wrong. You got this!” Yuzuki gave Atsumu a hug while redirecting her attention to her other brother, Osamu, the actual groom. Osamu was ready and he might have looked put together a minute ago but now standing in front of his siblings he suddenly started biting his lip as if to hold in a quiver. Yuzuki sighed exasperatedly.

“I swear if the two of you won’t get it together then the wedding will go wrong because we’re missing a groom and his best man since they’re both stuck crying their eyes out in the hotel room.” her patience was being tested today. Osamu caught himself and clapped Atsumu on his shoulder, afterwards facing Yuzuki with a smile. “Thanks! I don’t know what I would do without ya. Ya know I should’ve made you my maid of honour and have ‘Tsumu sit with the family. I swear you’re doing a much better job than him.”

A snort escaped Yuzuki and she shook her head, if only Osamu knew. “Ya know as long as I get to enjoy a feast and yer onigiri I’m fine.” Atsumu sniffed one last time before hugging his siblings tight. “I love ya two so damn much! Ya cannot hold this against me as soon as the wedding is over.” Atsumu let go of them with a smug grin plastered on his face. “Now everyone, if my clock is correct we’re now moving to the venue! Everyone straighten up and let’s go.”

Yuzuki came to the conclusion that she should have brought more tissue boxes. After the ceremony everyone was shedding some tears and especially after Osamu and Rin exchanged their wedding vows it was over for even their most stoic guests (cue Kita who was pressing his eyes together a little too hard). Atsumu was just as much a mess of happy tears as the two grooms themselves and even Yuzuki could see past it since she had happy tears in her own eyes as well.

They finally settled at the dining venue and the food smelt and looked incredible, making Yuzukis mouth water. But there was another point in their planning that they had to get through first: The speeches. Atsumu took the stage with a microphone getting everyone’s attention. “Thank you all for coming to this lovely wedding of my brother Osamu and my dear friend Rintarou. Before we start feasting on the incredible looking foods we do have to get through the best man and maid of honour speeches because we can’t be lumped out of embarrassing our grooms here.” Atsumu was grinning menacingly and Yuzuki had to swallow down a snort from escaping her.

Atsumu always had a thing for being dramatic and as much as it was annoying to her, there were moments where she enjoyed it. Atsumu declared Suna Mai to go first as Rins maid of honour and she unfolded her piece of paper, making some funny jokes and embarrassing her brother and Osamu but also saying a lot of lovely things about them. Mai turned with the microphone towards Atsumu but before he could get it she turned around, grinning mischievously at Yuzuki and waltzed over, handing her the microphone instead. Atsumu feigned mock shock while Osamu and Rin were genuinely surprised. Yuzukis speech was a secret between Atsumu, Mai and her so it would be a nice surprise for the grooms and their guests.

“Why thank you Mai for lending me the power to embarrass these lovely grooms and Atsumu!” The crowd laughed at Yuzukis entry and she grinned toward her brothers and Rintaro. Atsumu waved his arms in defence. “This isn’t about me Yuzu, it’s about these two!” he gestured wildly toward the grooms and Yuzuki laughed with everyone else. “Not my fault, you’re a part of this.” She smiled and started to reminisce about their teenage years.

“Let’s go back about twelve years ago when Osamu and Rintaro just started dating!” she grinned and Osamus' eyes went wide in recognition, he slumped his head down in embarrassment as Yuzuki started her quick anecdote.

“I promise you, dealing with these two was just a hassle!” She sent the grooms a warm but mischievous smile. “Let’s just say Osamu wasn’t always the most romantic or had any idea of how to woo a man.” She smirked and Osamu fully covered his face in Rin’s shoulder who snorted at Yuzukis introduction to her story.

Twelve years ago

“Do I look good?” Osamu eyes his reflection in the bathroom mirror, doubt shining in his eyes. The suit his parents bought for a family wedding a year ago, looking stiff on his shoulders. Behind him on their bathroom counter sits his sister, throwing her legs back and forth, looking up from her phone. Next to her stands Atsumu, fingers under his chin in thought, eyeing his brother critically.

“If yer going to a five star fancy restaurant, then ya look great.” Yuzuki muses as she returns to her phone. A sharp intake of breath and shuffling of a pair of feet could be heard. “Hey, that was uncalled for.” Osamu huffs quietly as he turns around toward his sister, glaring at her. Atsumu snaps his fingers before declaring that he knows what’s missing and leaves the bathroom. Osamu stares after him and blinks in surprise.

“I’m sure whatever he has in mind will be far worse than what yer already wearing.” Yuzuki comments and Osamu whips his head toward her. “Stop being so mean. Ya can’t have an opinion if yer not contributing anything better!” he growls and Yuzuki looks up at him, raising her hands in defence. “Fine, fine. I’ll get ya something if yer letting me go through yer clothes.” she offers and Osamu waves her off with his hand, as he looks doubtfully in the mirror again.

Yuzuki jumps off the bathroom counter and walks into the twins room, where she finds Atsumu scattering both his and Osamu’s wardrobe on the ground. “What’r’ya doing?” Yuzuki stops in front of her brother who seems to be looking for something specific and raises her eyebrows at him in question.

“I’m looking for something.” he comments without looking up and Yuzuki thinks she’s had enough of both of them, but she promised to help Osamu out in exchange for him doing her kitchen duty this evening. So all she has left to do, is to suck in a sharp breath, calm her nerves and get on with it. “Alright. Mind making some space for me? I’m going to help Samu dress, while yer out here searching for ‘something’” Atsumu moves aside slightly and Yuzuki starts looking through the wardrobe. She picks out a black pair of pants she knows for sure are Osamus. She throws the pants over her shoulder and searches through the t-shirts still left in their drawer.

Her eyes stop at a navy blue t-shirt with a white pocket on the right side. She throws it over the pants on her shoulder. Her eyes scan her brother’s jacket options and she catches his grey bomber jacket, hanging in the far back. She takes it off its hanger and throws it over her other shoulder. Crouching down from her spot she looks through Osamu’s shoe collection which isn’t that big and opts for his white sneakers he only wore once when they went to an arcade for their birthday.

With all of the stuff she gets up, stumbles through the scattered clothes and returns to Osamu in the bathroom. She throws down her findings on the counter, on which she previously sat, nodding toward the clothes. “There ya go.” she says before sitting down on the closed toilet seat, taking out her phone and turning toward the door. Osamu takes the clothes and eyes them curiously before putting them on. He tells Yuzuki to take a look and when she turns around Yuzuki thinks her brother never looked cooler.

“Now ya look ready to take out yer boyfriend to the movies and some food.” she comments, proud of her pick and Osamu looks much more comfortable than before. Before Osamu can reply, Atsumu barges past Yuzuki and throws something at Osamu which Yuzuki can’t make out. Osamu catches whatever it is and unravels it, raising his eyebrows in question.

Atsumu looks smugly at his brother, eyes closed with a confident stance, smiling. “Ya can thank me later.” he says and Yuzuki looks up at the thing Osamu is holding. “A scarf?” Osamu asks, confused and Atsumu only nods without explaining further. “Why should I thank ya for this scarf?” he asks again and Atsumu huffs, finally opening his eyes to see his brother seriously question his fashion choices.

“Yes, a scarf! If ya go out and we all know Sunarin doesn’t always dress appropriately, ya can lend him yer scarf so he won’t be cold on yer way home from the movies or something! It’s a great idea and all yer missing.”

Yuzuki and Osamu share a look before Yuzuki starts laughing and Osamu genuinely smiles at his twin nodding seriously. “Yes. Thank ya Tsumu, I’ll remember that.” he comments and really tries to stifle his laugh. Yuzuki is now full on laughing. Atsumu turns around looking furiously at her. “What’s so funny huh?!” he yells at his sister who’s crying, tumbling over her seat on the toilet, landing on the ground and holding her stomach with tears of laughter in her eyes.

“I…I can’t” she tries but her laughter doesn’t allow her to continue as soon as she takes another look at the scarf Atsumu brought with him and is cackling again. “I don’t understand why yer laughing like a hyena.” he huffs as he turns around toward his brother who is still holding the scarf and quietly laughing as well. “Tsumu…” Osamu tries but a snort interrupts him. “Tsumu, do ya realise what’s on this thing?” he asks in between laughter and Atsumu snatches the scarf from his brother in annoyance before eyeing it.

“It’s a pretty mandala design!” he huffs and his confused explanation gets another howl and snort from both Yuzuki and Osamu. “Tsum...Tsumu...Please!” Yuzuki starts, as she sits up on the ground, rubbing the tears out of her eyes. “Please just...take a closer look, will ya?” she starts and Osamu clutches his own sides as he continues to look amusedly at his brother who inspects the mandala scarf further.

Yuzuki and Osamu watch as Atsumu’s eyes grow wide in realisation and their poor brother turns bright red before hiding his face in the scarf itself in embarrassment. “Oh my god!” he muffles into the scarf and earns himself another set of laughter from his siblings. “Why did no one tell me?” he asks, now looking up and Yuzuki laughs again.

“Don’t tell me ya didn’t realise?!” she asks and Osamu snorts, shaking his head. “No he really didn’t know” he answers for Atsumu, who looks ready to die and be buried six feet under. “Yer serious? How did ya not see they weren’t mandalas?” Yuzuki asks, this time seriously confused that her brother didn’t realise his mistake.

Atsumu takes another look at his scarf covered in tiny male genitalia and lets out another whine of embarrassment. “I...I just didn’t okay!” he yells before throwing the scarf to the ground. “Do ya know how many times I wore this out?” he asks suddenly, feeling all of the weight of the implications of wearing a scarf covered in penises outside, he crouches down, his head between his knees, red as a tomato.

“This is so embarrassing” he whines and his siblings share a pitying look with their brother. Yuzuki gets up from the ground and slaps her brother on his shoulders. “Sorry that ya ran around in this. But to cheer ya up, yer idea wasn’t terrible. Oi Samu, ya should take a scarf with ya, just not...this one.” She smiles and Osamu salutes her before finding a black scarf and throwing an arm over his brother's shoulder.

“Thanks Tsumu! Yer the best!” he smiles and Atsumu looks up to see honest eyes and nods. “Fine… We never speak of this!” he huffs before throwing the scarf into the back of his wardrobe. “I can’t promise ya that.” Osamu shrugs, a grin plastered on his face as he puts on his black scarf and looks in the mirror. “I look good. Thanks again, ya two.”

He heads out to pick up Suna for their date and Yuzuki retreats into her own bedroom, leaving Atsumu cleaning up the mess he made in his bedroom.

“Oi! Ya promised not to talk about that!” Atsumu yelled out when Yuzuki finished her story and all of their guests laughed for various reasons. Rintarou laughed lightly into his hand as he looked at his husband. Osamu would have laughed along with the guests at Atsumu’s expense if he wasn’t so stuck on the fact Yuzuki revealed that he would have gone to the movies with Rin in a suit, way too overdressed. Rin's voice cut through the laughter into his ears. “You’re so cute! I can’t believe you wanted to pick me up in a suit on our first real date!” he smiled and Osamu felt a shiver run down his neck. “We will never speak of this again.” he whispered as Rin just kissed his cheek. “I can’t promise you that.”

“Man, am I glad that I’m not sitting at the front there!” Yuzuki commented, stealing a look at her brothers who both looked ready to kill Yuzuki with just their eyes. It got another laugh from the guests who seemed to enjoy her story so far. Yuzuki smiled all around before looking down on her piece of paper and nodded.

“The thing is, this isn’t the only time these two were being idiots! I have a great story from when they played in nationals during the end of their second year in high school. This one includes our dear Rintarou as well! Don’t think I forgot about ya!”

Eleven years ago

“Yuzuki, come on, we’ll miss their match if you keep stopping at every food stand!” her mother calls out for her, waving her hand behind herself as they make their way to the main courts. “I’m coming, mom!” She runs back to her parents trailing behind them curtly.

They find their seats and Yuzuki hops toward the front railing, squinting her eyes to see her brothers’ team. They are finishing their warming up and Yuzuki takes the time to take a good look around the gym. It’s the boys court and she knows the girls have the same size court just a few hallways down. She shakes her head; it’s too big for her liking, good thing she doesn’t play volleyball herself.

As her view comes back to Inarizaki she realises that both teams are lining up to walk onto their side of the court. The speakers are loud as the teams get announced and she hears them talk about the ‘Miya Twins’ like her brothers are some sort of celebrities. She rolls her eyes at Atsumu’s face as he bathes in the recognition and laughs loudly when he messes up his first serve of the day because of some fans. Serves him right.

The match excites Yuzuki more than she would like to admit; especially the way Atsumu tries to shut down Karasuno’s libero who still cheers up his team and at some point manages to receive her brother’s nasty serves. She watches intently before she comes back to Osamu who seems distracted after Atsumu bullies him for playing passively. Yuzuki however realises it’s not her brother who distracts Osamu but someone else on their team. She snorts as Osamu messes up his serve and watches as her brother’s eyes follow Suna around the court. Suna is no better than her brother. He steals more than one glance at Osamu when he thinks no one’s looking. They shouldn’t be allowed to play together; she muses quietly.

The match ends with Inarizaki losing and Yuzuki has to admit she’s a little disappointed. When they leave the arena, she makes her way toward her brothers’ team, telling her parents to wait in the entrance for her. She rounds the corner and comes to an abrupt halt.

“You guys were distracted all throughout the match” It’s Kita’s voice who stands in front of Osamu and Suna. They both have the audacity to look unbothered by his accusations. “Us? Nah, we weren’t distracted.” Osamu claims and Suna snorts as he looks away from Kita. The latter raises an eyebrow at them and looks between the two.

“Is there something you want to tell me?” he asks and as Osamu and Suna both shake their heads, Atsumu comes into view, only noticing his brother and Suna. Yuzuki realises he’s about to do something stupid when Atsumu starts yelling.

“OI! Samu, Sunarin! Next time I’ll tell the coach to bench ya! Just because yer all lovey dovey doesn’t mean ya can distract each other during matches!” Yuzuki can’t make out Kita’s face but Osamu’s and Suna’s are enough to tell her that they just got outed in front of their captain. Both of their faces lose all colour and they share a look like deers in headlights. Atsumu realises his mistake when he suddenly meets eyes with Kita who looks at him questiongly.

“So the two of you did have something to tell me.” Kita simply continues and Yuzuki takes the scene in, unlocking her phone and filming the encounter for blackmail reasons. Osamu turns toward his brother and growls, “Thanks dumbass! Can’t ya shuddup for a second?”  Suna nods, regaining his composure after the initial shock. He fixes Atsumu with a look that has the latter screech in fear. “If we’re already exposing secrets, Kita-san, Atsumu has a crush on you!” Suna doesn’t break eye contact with Atsumu who loses all colour in his face like the other two previously did. “Don’t listen to him, Kita-san!” he starts yelling and Kita just crosses his arms, nodding along.

“Anyway, I’m glad the two of you solved your previous tension. I’m happy for you and wish you the best. As for Atsumu, I’m sorry but I can’t reciprocate your feelings. Now that we addressed this, I have one last request as your former captain.” Suna, Osamu and Atsumu all stare at Kita who fixes them with his ‘stare’ and sighs loudly. “Please try to concentrate when you’re playing matches and stop ‘exposing’ each other. What kind of example are you three putting up for the next first years you're going to lead?”

Yuzuki can’t help herself as she watches all three of their faces crunch up in confusion and acceptance as she strolls over to them and waves. “Hello, Kita-san! Oi Tsumu, Samu, Sunarin!” she yells and all four of them turn around. “Miya-kun, good to see you!” Kita offers her a nod in greeting and she smiles when she turns to the other three.

“You guys are so awkward and I got it on camera!” She grins as she turns around and starts running for her life, hearing Atsumu break out of his shock first with Suna right at his tail, both of them chasing Yuzuki.

The crowd laughed heartedly and Yuzuki bowed lightly, sharing a smile with Kita who laughed with the rest of them. “Goddammit Yuzuki! This is bullying!” Atsumu exclaimed, “I’m not even the one getting married.” Yuzuki snorted loudly, shrugging her shoulders in indifference. “I promise to tell equally embarrassing anecdotes at yer wedding which include Samu.” she smiled and earned herself an undignified noise by Osamu. Yuzuki considered her part in the wedding and as annoying as it was to plan, it was totally worth exposing her brothers’ and her new brother-in-law.

“I know yer all embarrassed and I’ve had my fun with that, but I actually have a very sweet anecdote that pretty much sums up what I think of dear Rintaro, and his relationship with my dear brother! Ya two are one of my favourite people and I know ya know it too!”

Seven years ago

“What’s up, Sunarin? Yer never calling me?” Yuzuki squishes her phone between her shoulder and her ear as she packs her sports bag, closing her locker up. She takes the gym keys and locks up after waving goodbye to the first years who stayed late training further with her help. Someone has to train the new Inarizaki first years in receives if not her.

“Yuzuki, I need your help.” Suna’s voice is hushed and Yuzuki raises her brows, even though Suna can’t see her. “What for? I mean I am always happy to help, ya know that.” she walks down the street, as Suna starts explaining. “I...You know Osamu better than anyone, besides Atsumu and me.” he starts and Yuzuki hums in agreement. “Sure. If ya say so. What info do ya need about him that ya don’t already have?”

Suna goes quiet on the other end before taking a deep breath. “I’m turning to you with the question because Atsumu thinks for himself more often than for Osamu, in these scenarios, so bear with me, okay?” Yuzuki hums again and Suna continues, “Well how should I go about asking Osamu to move in with me?” She turns her eyes toward the darkening sky as she turns the corner at the grocery store, walking down the road to her house.

“Sounds serious.” she starts but doesn’t continue speaking her thoughts. “You’re coming to me with that question? I mean...I get why yer not asking Atsumu but I can’t promise ya a one hundred percent success rate either.” She hears a long sigh on the other end and comes to a stop at her best friend’s house, not realising she unconsciously walked two blocks further. Damn. “I don’t know how to ask that question seriously… But… I think Osamu would love to move in with ya, Sunarin.”

Suna sighs again. “Yeah… So I’ve been told but I feel like he would view it as me giving up my professional career as middle blocker just so we could live together and he could pursue is dream-” Suna’s voice breaks off and Yuzuki turns around to walk the two blocks back to her own house, this time concentrating on where she’s going. She waits but Suna doesn’t pick up his sentence so she takes the initiative again.

“Well. Ya are asking me, so I should probably help ya out. I know Samu thinks yer going to give up yer career if ya move in with him. I know that’s bullshit but he doesn’t realise it. Maybe prepare a plan on how the two of ya can each achieve yer dreams and also share a life together ya know?”

Suna contemplates her response and nods, forgetting Yuzuki can’t see him. “Could I go over it with you?” he asks her and Yuzuki unlocks the doors to her home, greeting her parents and telling them she’s on call with Suna and it’s important, so she’ll be upstairs for a while. “Sure, if that helps ya” she throws her phone on her bed and puts Suna on speaker, slipping in comfortable clothes and throwing herself in bed as she listens to Suna speak.

“I’d say something like this, ready:

'Hey Samu. I have an important question to ask you. I’ve thought about it for a long time and it’s pretty serious! I’d like to move in together!
I’m serious and our relationship is very serious to me and I know it’s serious to you too. I know you think one of us has to give up on their career but I know we don’t. I know you’d love to open a restaurant in Tokyo and I found a culinary school that would take you in immediately if you’d apply. This way we could move in together and neither of us would have to give up their dream!
If you don’t want to move to Tokyo then I’ll switch teams and maybe division, so we can move in together in Hyogo.’

Wait, do I sound too desperate?”

Yuzuki ponders his questions before replying “Nah, yer fine. So far ya got a good plan and I’m sure he’ll hear ya out. So how do ya finish that?” she asks and Suna continues. “I thought about telling him that his opinion and decision are important to me and that I don’t want to pressure him, but that I want him to know that I love him very much… Damn it’s not easy-” he lets out a shaky breath and Yuzuki smiles.

“Don’t worry too much about it! What’s on yer mind? I can tell there’s more, so go on.”
“I… Yuzuki, you know I love Osamu, right. I’d never hurt him.” he starts and Yuzuki piques up. “Did something happen?” she asks a bit more defensive than she intended but his phrasing implied the unspeakable to her.

“Oh no! I promise I’d never cheat on Samu! No it’s… the long distance is really hard on me. Not seeing him every day, or even every week is just a lot… It’s been almost two years, Yuzuki! We may have seen each other frequently when I still lived in Hyogo but it’s been so long and I miss him.” His voice moves from loud exclamations to shy and sad whispers throughout his explanation and Yuzuki feels her heart ache for Suna. She knows his struggle and the way something good can come to an end because of distance.

“Tell him!” she replies to him and she hears Suna take in a sharp breath. “No way! He’ll think I want to break up with him or passively pressure him into moving in with me… Oh my god. Yuzuki...What if he wants to leave me?”

Yuzuki sits up on her bed shaking her head in disbelief. “Sunarin! Stop the self-doubt! Ya said it yerself, no one knows Samu as well as you, me and Tsumu! As someone who knows him well, I can assure ya he loves ya very much! Tell him about yer fears! That yer exhausted and that the distance is hard on ya! Tell him yer scared of telling him because ya fear it’ll make him move in with ya without really thinking it through! Yer both adults, talk about yer feelings! Now go talk to yer boyfriend and get this over with, so ya two can look for a cute appartement together!”

There’s a long pause before Suna speaks up again. “You’re right. Thank you, Yuzuki! I’m glad we talked. You helped me a lot. I’ll keep you updated.” Yuzuki could tell that Suna is indeed feeling much better just by his voice and she smiles as she tells him goodbye. It’s late but Yuzuki still heads downstairs, warms up her dinner and catches up with her parents.

She realises right there that she more than approves of Suna and she would love for her brother and him to grow old together, they deserve it!

“That was the night I realised I wanted only our dear Rin to be with my brother! I never saw anyone else next to him. I’ve never met someone as considerate, caring, cunning and at the same time loving as Rin! I more than approve of ya, dear brother-in-law! Welcome to the Miyas! Yer gonna have to deal with loud family dinners from now on forever! Thank you everyone for listening and now we’ll let my dear brother, Atsumu, take his rightful place to give his best man speech!”

The guests all cheered and Yuzuki noticed tears in Rin and Osamu’s eyes as she smiled and blew them a kiss, passing the microphone to Atsumu and taking a seat at her table; Kiyabu immediately took her hand and squeezed it tightly. Atsumu shared some embarrassing stories from their time in middle and high school, which earned him some glares and red faces from both Osamu and Rin. He shared a quick anecdote about Osamu’s coming out and how both Osamu and Rin helped Atsumu with his own sexuality crisis. They shared smiles with one another before Atsumu thanked the guests and opened the buffet.

The wedding was a success all around: Yuzuki got drunk with Kiyabu and Mai, Atsumu managed to get Kiyoomi to be affectionate with him in public and the grooms snuck away from their own wedding unnoticed.

Osamu and Rin would always remember one of their happiest days, when they were able to marry the love of their life, which they didn't think possible.
