    After decades of endless conflict, the two species fighting for dominance formed factions. The ghouls divided into four kingdoms, the most powerful and largest of them all ruled by the infamous One-Eyed King, and the humans split into five groups.

    Over time, one of these human factions grew sick of the fighting and formed a deal with the One-Eyed King: no more eating members of their faction. In exchange, every two years, they would send one person of the Tokuniku descent as a sacrifice to the king. The Tokuniku bloodline, found only in this faction, produced people with delicious flesh, an exquisite meal fit only for the king of ghouls.

    And so, (Y/n) Tokuniku’s fate was sealed when she took her first breath. Sacrificed to the One-Eyed King at the age of 18, she’s thrown right into the middle of the enemy’s lair. But as time passes, she grows uncertain of the king’s motives.

    Is she food, or not? And if she isn’t… then what is she to the King?
