Summary
Life went on after the Final Battle, even if Harry was able to see more than he let on after coming back from Purgatory/King's Cross. It was after the death of Teddy that he stopped caring and just pulled back from the shitshow that the wizarding world was becoming. Finding out it was the end of the world, didn't come as much of a surprise. Death appearing and telling him this could have been prevented did, even more so when he was told WHO it was that could have prevented this. Given the chance to rectify this with Magic's Chosen, Harry took the chance with both hands.

“He'll be back in a few days, relax. If he survives, that is.” On that happy note the ghost slithers out of sight through a portal. Danny hesitantly turns around, afraid of what he's going to see, only to do a double take.
Plasmius appears to be about five or six, absolutely drowning in his clothes. He glances down, sees his blue hands, and his face crumples.

“I told you to deactivate them!”
Vlad shrugs, not particularly bothered.
“My offer still stands, you know. At the very least, you're always welcome to stay the night.” When Phantom doesn't react, Vlad presses on, “Daniel, I'm serious. At least at my home you won't be shot at.”
