Summary
Izuku knew something wasn’t quite right when he returned to the dorms after a quick trip to the convenience store.
“Welcome back, bro!” Kirishima greets him with a grin as they bump into each other, the redhead dressed and ready to leave for a run. He holds up his hand in an awaiting fist-bump.
“Ah, thanks Kirishima!” Izuku returns his smile, mindlessly stuffing the packaged mochi into his hoodie pocket. He then clasps his hands gently around Kirishima’s fist and brings it closer to his face, pressing a light kiss to the other’s knuckles.
Both boys freeze as soon as Izuku’s lips touch his skin.

Lately, Kacchan had been acting… weird.
How weird? In every possible way. He cursed less. He went quiet more often – and Kacchan had always had an opinion about literally everything. At times, Izuku caught glimpses of sadness on his friend’s face, and even tried to ask what was wrong, but all he ever got back was… nothing. No blown-up hair. No sharp Deku thrown his way like an insult. Not even a half-assed ‘None of your fucking business, nerd’.
No-thing.
Kacchan changed the subject with such ease that Izuku had fallen for it and let himself be distracted more than once. Because Kacchan would never change subjects. His particular kind of social awkwardness meant standing his ground no matter what, arguing until his throat was raw and bleeding. He didn’t know how to deceive…
At least, that’s what Izuku had always thought.
And then it got worse.
(or: Katsuki is overwhelmed with guilt and OTHER FEELINGS, while Izuku is owerwhelmed with FEELINGS that make him feel guilty simply for having them.)

Summary
Izuku and Katsuki made a bet, almost a year ago, that if Katsuki could keep himself from blowing up at a reporter for a full year, Izuku would spar with him like he used to. All Katsuki wanted out of it was for Izuku to stop avoiding him, it'd gotten worse after he started dating Ururaka. But as they near the deadline Katsuki notices something's wrong with Deku.
Slow burn, intimate, and quick, all from Katsuki's POV. A third-person limited.
*Felt like taking a break from writing my book to make something a bit silly. I'm a long time Bakudeku shipper, lol, read a lot of fics, but never written one for them.*
