Summary
On his Daidoji-prescribed vacation in a remote mountain town in northern Japan, Kiryu encounters the person he least expects. Majima, frustrated by the events at the dissolution, presses for answers that Kiryu is unwilling to divulge. But when the worst snow storm in a decade forces them both to shelter in place at a local ryokan, they have no choice but to reconcile their differences...and their long-buried feelings.

Summary
It's Kiryu-chan's birthday! Well, technically it's the night before his birthday, but once midnight strikes, that makes it official. Right? Seems logical enough in Majima's mind... which is where we will spend the duration of this story.
Despite the occasion, Kiryu seems less than happy, and Majima makes it his goal to figure out why. It's yer birthday, Kiryu-chan! Why not do something you've never done before? Something fun! The last place Majima expects to wind up is the lobby of a love hotel, trying to land Kiryu some sweet sweet birthday sex. Even worse, despite having asked for this, Kiryu seems less than enthusiastic about any of the cute girls trying to chat him up in the bar.
What kind of women does Kiryu like, anyway? What kind indeed...
A Y2/Y3 era fic with no spoilers beyond Yakuza 3.

Summary
It was true that every time Kiryu went toe-to-toe with Majima, Majima made damn sure that Kiryu left the fight learning something so he could be better the next time they face off. A technique with a certain weapon, how to hold more endurance, force more strength in each punch and kick.
Well, Majima supposes Kiryu didn’t expect to learn multiple things about himself today. Certainly not like this either.

Summary
It’s getting to that point in the night where the alcohol feels like it’s lighting him up from the inside, glowing underneath his skin, and he’s starting to think he’s even more invincible than usual. And, Majima figures, someone that swaggers around Kamurocho in nothing but a blazer and skin-tight leather pants has gotta feel pretty fucking invincible already.
But even then, he’s never let himself think too hard about the way Kiryu looks at him sometimes, after a long, knuckle-bruising fight, skin slick, chest heaving, pupils dark with something he can’t quite pick out; the way Kiryu’s gaze catches on the corner of his mouth, when Majima runs a tongue over the blood on his bottom lip, staring for longer than anyone’s ever had the guts to; the way Kiryu grunts, low and rough from the back of his throat, when Majima’s hand is on his neck and Majima’s knee wedged between his thighs.

In all his 37 years of his life, Kiryu had never heard something so utterly ridiculous. His frown deepened, eyes narrowing “You sure this isn’t just some weird excuse to pick another fight with me?”
“I’m tellin’ ya the truth” he purred, dragging the words out slow. With a gleam in his eye, he added, “And yer the only one who can satisfy me, Kiryu-chan”

Kiryu screwed his lips into a grimace and stiffened in discomfort at the title. Next to him, Yayoi took another drag in a vain effort to hide her amused smile. Daigo recalled, belatedly, the difficulty with which he’d persuaded the man to call him something other than young master.
“You haven’t really sworn up yet, so I don’t think…” Kiryu started.
“Okay, well, I’ll still take whatever jobs you give me, Kiryu-san,” Daigo said.

Summary
Something about that Kiryu guy stirred up forgotten thoughts or feelings, twisting uncomfortably in Majima’s gut. Whatever it was, he wasn’t eager to dig into it. Not now. He had more important things to focus on—like a promise he made to a kid and a treasure he needed to find. He couldn’t afford distractions, not from the past and certainly not from some guy he couldn’t even remember. Right then and there, Majima decided this stranger was getting off his ship as soon as they arrived in Honolulu.

Summary
Majima was not making Kiryu’s life easier in any respect. While Kiryu took up his new post with deadly seriousness, which was the only way he knew how to approach things, Majima acted like he didn’t notice the shift of power between them, and kept misbehaving like a little kid. He was still on what seemed to be a never-ending quest to rile Kiryu up every chance he got. Because he couldn’t follow Kiryu around Kamurocho anymore, he instead popped out from around every corner Kiryu turned at the clan’s headquarters. He was always ready to offer a provocative look or an ambiguous comment that made Kiryu want to put his fist right through Majima’s face and then kiss him until he stopped running that stupid mouth of his. Somehow, Majima still was everywhere.

It's a long story but here's the quick and dirty version: they have to convince pretty much the whole-ass Kamurocho criminal underworld they're in love and other than two very specific people nobody, absolutely fucking nobody, can know it’s just a bit till the job is done.
You want the long version, including the part where this whole dumb stunt was Majima’s idea? Kiryu kind of insists that it be made real nice and clear that this was, in fact, Majima’s stupid idea and he just went along with it because he didn’t know what the hell else to try. Which, y’know. Fair enough.
[In which Majima and Kiryu pretend to be a Thing for family business reasons. With these two, this is easier said than done.]

“Yumi Sawamura,” Seonhee replied matter-of-factly. “Dead for nearly twenty years.”
Silence fell around the table as they all considered this new angle. If they were talking about any other guy Seonhee would have suggested finding him a pretty girl who’d show him a good time. [...] But she knew it just wouldn’t work. It’s not that Kiryu-san didn’t appreciate beautiful women; he just wasn’t a man who’d fall head over heels for one so quickly. It was a quality she admired about him, and which, at the same time, annoyed her to no end. The man was immovable like a mountain.
“There had to be someone else,” Saeko said. “You don’t really believe Kiryu-san didn’t even have a crush on anyone after Yumi died, do you?”

Majima watched as Kiryu fell to his hands and knees, sapped of his godlike strength and fortitude, weeping openly and begging Ebina for forgiveness. Nothing in Majima’s fifty-nine years had prepared him to make sense of the sight; it was something that shouldn’t have been allowed to happen according to all the rules of the universe that he understood. Hindbrain fear and unfair revulsion churned around inside of him, rooting him to the spot as he witnessed the violation of a natural law.
