Summary
Historically, Sherlock's attempts to instruct Joan in any form of physical combat within the confines of their home had resulted in... less than desirable outcomes. In the interests of her education, they settled on a more structured form of instruction, with defined rules of engagement and a motivating wager.
Sherlock called their new curriculum "the art of ambush, evasion, and escape." Joan called it "sexcapades," no matter how often he asked her not to.

Summary
Will Graham's daemon is unsettled, unspeaking, and halfway to feral, but if she's broken then isn't that because he is? She's a piece of him, and he's very certain that all of his madness hasn't been neatly excised into her body alone. She's made out of him, or he out of her; it's the same thing.

Summary
Hannibal planned to keep Will in the dark about his encephalitis so he could watch that brilliant mind burn itself up and become something new. In a world without daemons, he might have got away with it.
An AU incorporating elements of Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials series, beginning partway through the first season of Hannibal. Due to the existence of daemons, the course of the Chesapeake Ripper case is drastically altered — and so too is the relationship between Hannibal and Will.

The hound and the shrike. The beast and the bird. The one that bites and the one that impales. Can't they, in the dark of the world's long night, curl together in the same hollow and share the same warm breath, each holding the other's hidden thing in its mouth, neither swallowing nor letting go?
Can't they keep each other's secrets?
