Okarun’s ears blush, the first telltale sign preceding his face going beet-red. “I could… help, if you want.” At Momo’s raised eyebrow, he splutters and blushes so dark she has to hold back a laugh. “Not like that! Nothing weird! I could just… run a bath and help you wash your hair. If— If you want. Only if you want, of course—”

He woke up to the white fluorescent light above him, a sickly color to match the white curtain and sheets. White was hardly a color, one that simply reflected all the light that touched it, absorbing none to claim it as its own.
The only hint of color Shu saw when he stopped avoiding glancing to his left, Mika having abandoned his post on the chair he was likely told to wait in, only to have climbed into bed with him, resting his head in the crook of Shu’s neck.
