Summary
The brighter the light, the darker the shadows. And in a super-powered society, those shadows are dark indeed. But whilst the world desperately trained more and more heroes, making that light brighter and brighter, the prestigious hero school, UA, had another idea. Why not tackle the problem at its source?
And so was born the infamous class 1-A. Would-be criminals from all over the country were selected, and a group of twenty now roam the halls of the school, alongside the heroes of the next generation.
Last year, the entirety of Mr Aizawa’s class A graduated. But this year was different. No, he didn’t believe they would all graduate back into society like the classes before them. He believed they could become something bigger. That was why, with gritted teeth and a manic smile, Eraser Head turned to his new class of students and said:
"You aren't villains - you never were, and you never will be. But you can take that fire inside of you and put it to good use. We're in a hero school, aren't we? Well then...
"Let's be heroes."

Summary
20-year-old Pro Hero Eraserhead encounters his first case involving a young child. For the kid's protection, he is placed in the hero's custody until further notice. Eraserhead, or Aizawa Shouta, has no idea how to take care of a child, but now he has a traumatized 5-year-old living in his apartment. Now he has to learn on the job, although he's pretty sure that a child this small shouldn't be able to do laundry or make coffee. And what's with the voices he swears he keeps hearing?
Will he be able to care for this child better than he's been taking care of himself?
Can he solve the mystery of this small child and the odd things that happen when he's around?It can't be that hard, right? Kids are small and this one is fairly well-behaved!

Desperate yowling cut through the night, accompanied by infrequent clanging. Shouta paused on the rooftop he had been running across and tried to determine the direction of the sound. Most likely a stray cat or some other animal. Shouta liked cats, and to a lesser extent all animals, so he wasn’t about to just leave it struggling. The poor thing could be hurt.
Soon enough, he tracked the commotion to a street that was starkly unpopulated at this time of night. The noise originated from some vending machines next to a bus stop, lit up by the soft glow of a streetlight. Shouta raised an eyebrow at the small rear end sticking out of the little door that the snacks dropped down into. Was that… a toddler? Out here? At this hour?

There are stories. Impossible, unbelievable stories about a young boy in the midst of the worst attacks. Some claimed that he pushed them out of the way of falling structures, others said that he held their hand while the heroes were on their way. All of them said he was small, with green hair and a bright smile, and his name was “Midoriya Izuku.”
These stories are impossible, unbelievable because Midoriya Izuku is dead.
Some things in life are undeniably cruel, such as taking the life of someone young before their potential could begin to bloom. However, despite this, there is one thing for certain.
Midoriya Izuku was always going to be a hero.
Or: basically ghost/guardian angel izuku that stays on earth to continue saving others with a smile.

After Aizawa Shouta's famous Quirk Assessment Test where he chews out his newest Problem Child for lack of Quirk Control and tells him blatantly that he can't become a Hero, he finds out two things. That Midoriya Izuku's Quirk came in on the date of Yuuei's Entrance Exam and that he is now in need of a foster parent. And it just so happens that Aizawa Shouta is in the best situation to raise a kid with such a self-destructive Quirk.
Now he has to learn how to both successfully parent and to try his best to mend the fragile and already battered trust between him and his new Problem Son. What could possibly go wrong?

The detective spat the disgusting coffee all across his desk.
It was just supposed to be a normal goddamn Tuesday.
