Salazar is a dangerous match for her. Rachel knows this. She must. She’s too clever not to realize. It’s why she’s giving Bronco a full month to lay claim on Salazar’s island. Bronco must know too, judging from the look he sends Sid’s way. Sid meets it evenly: yes, of course I know too.
They each have roles to play. Bronco is the spider. Sid is the snake.

They make it to the villa in however long Bronco’s decided to make it. A smooth stop before he kills the engine and gives her a dry, “Honey, we’re home.”
You need to get tougher, she thinks. You’re not fucking Bambi. Bronco opens the door for her and she stays seated, trembling, eyes forward. She needs to move. She can’t.
“Oh, one of those, eh?”
He shuts the door and climbs in from the other side. Exactly two people are allowed to see her like this.

Summary
The duty of the Copper King is to selflessly serve the people and your allies at all times; a duty that Pixlriffs has struggled to keep since he was a young Vigil Keeper and met the handsome attendant of the Codmother.
Selfishness cannot be allowed. After the Dragon's death, Pix needs to redeem himself. So when the Phantom Assassin is contacted to kill the Codfather for King Sausage, Pix takes the contract. What could be a better way to redeem himself and to return to his selfless ways than to help his allies? Surely, nobody will stand in the way of that.
