Summary
The only thing keeping The Avengers, a close-knit group of twenty-somethings in various life stages, from being perfect is really two things: Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes.
Their bickering, arguments, taunting and harassment of each other is a dreaded and expected occurrence during outings. A surprise twist of fate has the pair of them desperate to change their song and dance, in the most unconventional way possible.
What could possibly go wrong?

". . . So. Do you want to kill yourself?"
Bucky blinks. "Excuse me?"
Sam, Steve, and Tony all look at each other. Steve speaks up first. "Well, you just seem . ."
Tony interjects. "Like you want to kill yourself."
Bucky looks between the three men. "Like I want to kill myself." He repeats.
Sam clears his throat. "We're just– Concerned! You know? Like, we don't want you to— . ."
"Die." Steve finishes.
Tony leans back, plucking at the strings of his guitar idly. "We mostly don't want you to kill yourself before the next gig. Would be a pain in the ass to find a new drummer on such short notice."
Sam Wilson loves music. Everything about the process, the culture, it all makes his heart sing. When he has the chance to start a band, he jumps at the opportunity, especially when his friend, Steve, happily agrees to help. But maybe Sam's bitten off more than he can chew, especially when his new bandmates all have more baggage than they can comfortably admit to. Especially Sam himself.
