It’s been six months since the events of the Resonance Cascade. Everything seems okay - Gordon’s adjusted back into a normal life, albeit shifted to make room for the Science Team and a roommate who only stayed dead for a week, and he’s finally starting to forget about Black Mesa.
And then he finds himself right back at the day it all started.

We will draw on his childhood associations with sexual violence as well as his encounters with rape as an adult. Special attention will be paid to his relationship with his older brother, Dean Winchester, and his torment in the Cage at the hands of Lucifer. Students will be expected to understand and write about Sam’s perceptions of both rape in general and of himself as rape victim. He's never had a joke land so completely flat. It sounds strangled and weird coming out of his own mouth, like it was never supposed to be a joke in the first place.
"Um," Sam starts, and his voice fucking cracks. "Dean."
Immediately, Dean says, "I didn't say that. Sam, I never said that."
