So, I sincerely apologize if you didn’t fucking like that your blackmailing-victim insulted you because you literally fucking kill children and he can’t do anything about it.”
Anger was easier and pushed the fear away briefly.
To a certain point.
But his touch, gentle and comforting, was still burning you alive and you were still terrified. But you didn’t show it anymore and you wouldn’t until you were spitting blood again.
