It’s a strange sight. His brother has never been the type to fidget, from boyhood trained out of all behaviours unbecoming of an heir apparent. It’s distracting. Maekar wants those fingers on his throat instead, stroking the cradle of his collarbones, resting on his scent gland. Pressing down. Barely has the thought registered before he feels heat simmering in his belly, cloying and sticky and familiar, threatening to overflow.
Seven hells, this will not do.
What hubris on his part, to believe he would be able to make it through this encounter without revealing himself, now that his body speaks for him, more honest than his mouth ever was. No wonder the gods mean to punish him. After all, he brought this onto himself. Wished for it. Secretly, at the back of his mind yes, still it belongs to him all the same. A slithering, traitorous desire never meant to see the light of day, stunted and stifled and relegated to the dead of night when he is delirious with lust — long before this accursed heat — with a pillow between his legs and his brother’s name on his lips, muffled into his sheets. Desperate. His brother’s hands in his mind, holding him down. Always his brother, from the very first time he sought pleasure from his own hands.

How sick is he, that lust spikes through him at the thought, thrums beneath his skin. What craven, wretched thing. Maker rubs his forehead, at the same time hiding his eyes, escaping his brother’s heavy gaze. A coward’s retreat.
