Summary
Helpless, hopeless, and understanding that he wasn't going to be getting any more answers from Tsukishima this morning, He stands up and attempts to catch Tsukishima’s surprised eyes in a hard glare. “Fine then! Be that way!”
His sudden yell scratches at his throat uncomfortably. He hates everything about this situation.
The stunned Tsukishima sits on his wooden dining chair, and watches the other stomp his way to their shared room, slamming the door harshly behind him. It almost served as a silencer for the whole world– the birds don't chirp outside the kitchen window anymore, and their neighbours TV can't be heard through their thin walls.
Tsukishima swallows saliva down, thinking about the interaction in a little more detail.
…He might’ve messed up.
In which Tsukishima learns that he can't say that Yamaguchi is too good for him without implying the opposite is also true.

Summary
“Sorry, Kei…” I murmured to myself before grabbing some dishwashing liquid and a cloth, picking up the first dish and washing it. I repeated this until the sink was empty of dishes and the drying rack was so full, I had to play real-life tetris to get everything to fit. Once done, I rinsed out the sink and put the dishwashing liquid away, grabbing a fresh cloth and disinfectant spray.

Summary
Though no one knows how or why, at midnight on a person’s 16th birthday, they get writing on their wrist, almost like a tattoo. This writing, whatever it says, has something to do with your soulmate. It’s usually something like the first thing they say to you after it appears, or an inside joke you two will have, maybe a phrase they say a lot. Simply a push in the right direction, fate’s little nudge-nudge wink-wink about what future you have in store. This is how Yamaguchi and Oikawa became soulmates!
