Summary
Lydia has a long list of problems and isn't keen to add more to it, but when Betelgeuse starts appearing more frequently warning her of his vengeful ex-wife, well...clearly she needs to do some thinking about the company she keeps. Lydia is taken down a dangerous path as she tries to reconnect with her daughter in the midst of a mad woman's schemes, a teenage psychopath, and man she can't put in a box in the back of her mind anymore.
Basically a rewrite of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice but there's less plot holes and the bad guys are actually fulfilling their potential.
* Also disclaimer, any attraction between our two main characters is when Lydia is an ADULT. Same for Betelgeuse, he just wanted his green card and went about it in the worst way possible, it's just weird and gross to ship kid Lydia with him, or imply he's been in love with her since she was a child.
