I've been writing fanfic -- off and on -- since the mid-80s. I prefer fanzines to 'netfic, and 90% of my stories will be printed in a 'zine first, and posted on-line a year or two later. I love crossovers. I'm a cheapskate, so a crossover always makes me feel like I'm getting more for my money. I love a good crunch. And (unfortunately) despite several years experience, I still write Mary Sues. I'm trying to break the habit, but I've not succeeded yet.
I like SF, fantasy, action-adventure, westerns ... my taste is fairly eclectic. I have the dubious distinction of being the author of every single THE MASTER story at FanFiction.net and the only THE APPLE DUMPLING GANG story there. I have over a hundred stories, filksongs, and poems posted at FanFiction.net, and as I learn how to use this website, I will begin cross-posting them here.
FanQ Awards: Please forgive me for bragging, but I've just learned that I've been nominated for five FanQ Awards in three different categories, and I am more than a little jazzed about it. Also, four of the fanzines that had my stories were nominated for best 'zines in two different categories. Since my last FanQ was in 2007, I am bouncing like Abby Sciuto after too much Caf-Pow.
