Summary
Amity stood up, marched over to her closed bedroom door and stuck the note onto it. Then she immediately went back to sit at her desk and flipped open her study book, determined to keep her mind busy with the upcoming exam. She wouldn’t think about that note, or what it said, until she saw it again in the morning.
Except halfway through the chapter on Anatomical Viscosity, she glanced over; there it was, exactly where she’d placed it. In between a dozen other notes from each previous day, all screaming the same two words in a now-mighty chorus:
‘TELL HER!'
Amity sunk her forehead onto her open book and groaned.

With that thought, she dashed back up to the rooftops, appearing in front of Penny in an instant. The girl hadn’t moved an inch - Ruby was pretty sure she hadn’t even blinked.
“How is it?” she prompted, placing her hands on top of Penny’s to stem the flow of coolant as much as possible. Penny showed no sign of having heard the question. She was only silent for a moment, but it was just long enough to hit Ruby with a nauseating stab of fear.
“Fourteen minutes and seventeen seconds until shutdown.”
Or: After a freak accident during a routine Grimm hunt leaves Penny gravely injured, Ruby must use her repair skills to keep her wife alive.
