This is mostly just me figuring out how to write tbh. I've been wanting to write a quirkless AU, a vigilante AU, and a support course AU, but I'm not sure which ideas to use and which ones to save for later... idk just getting into the swing of things is hard for me, sooooo one shots are the way to go until I figure out what I'm doing :D

Summary
When Darth Vader gets the alert his son has been captured after their disastrous encounter on Bespin, he cannot arrive at the Imperial facility holding him quickly enough. However, it soon becomes clear that the 'Unharmed' stipulation of his bounty has been ignored, and he is partly to blame.
Vader wrestles with a hurt child he has no idea how to comfort, confronts a very angry Leia Organa and arrives at an upsetting and difficult truth - that the best way to protect Luke may be to let him go.
