Every Link has gone on at least one adventure, every hero has something back home they'd rather not leave behind. Now, they've been tasked with yet another quest, where heroes across time have been brought together by forces outside of their control, and they must fight an other-worldly foe to be able to return home, but what happens when one foe turns into many? Old foes long thought defeated have started to reappear, many with personal grudges against our heroes. It may take more than just a few legendary heroes to uncover what is truly at the center of all this.

If Wild was bothered by his tone, then Legend didn’t see it, too focused was he on the distant spit of land. “That’s Eventide Island. I had a difficult shrine quest there once before. It’s the largest island I have on my map. I guess you wouldn’t have seen it last time when it was storming, huh?”
Fishing boats groaned in protest as they were knocked against the docks. The wind picked up, blowing out towards the island and pulling at Legend’s clothes. There was a voice in there somewhere, he could feel it. All because…
“The Egg hatched.” His words escaped him as a thin, awestruck rasp, barely audible over the sounds of the waves. That was supposed to be the end of it, right? Once the Egg hatched, and he vanquished the nightmares that had been keeping the Wind Fish from waking up, then it'd be over. The image of Koholint Island vanishing like the dream it was supposed to be was permanently seared into his mind.
Only it wasn’t gone. It was here, after so much time spent chasing the unreal. And it was waiting for him.OR
Legend discovers Eventide Island, the spitting image of Koholint. And he'll do anything to wake the Wind Fish again.

Just as Saffron opens his mouth to speak, the cause of the affair makes itself known. A swirling portal opens up right in the middle of Lucky’s room, lighting up the space with a bright blue glow. The pair gawk at the shining mass in front of them, shocked into silence.
“No shot…” Saffron eventually speaks up.
Lucky blinks slowly, really not convinced it isn’t still dreaming. It clambers over to the other side of the bed and stands beside Saffron.

“And you unlocked yours when…”
“When I acted in love for you,” she finished, meeting his gaze. “We need to get our past selves to realize their feelings.”
“You’re saying we need to play matchmaker.”
“Yes.”
“For our past selves.”
“Yes.”
He dragged a hand down his face. “We’re doomed.”

Or: Post-ToTK Link and Zelda, happily married, are investigating a series of disappearances when they’re suddenly sent to before the Calamity. They take it upon themselves to save everyone from impending doom, which includes helping their past selves get along. It’s a lot easier said than done. Oh, and more people are disappearing. Luckily, the Champions of Old are there to help him as he strives to restore the kingdom.
The Second Book of this series will be Linked Universe. This story can be considered a Breath of the Wild fic.
