Summary
Judy meets Nick’s family. Nick meets Judy’s family. Circumstances force them to leave the world they know.
The plot revolves around an arson case, an egg, and a roommate situation that gets progressively more unstable. Bad decisions abound. Nick and Judy learn about vulnerability. To be honest, I don't quite know how to explain this story. There's alot happening here, but at the end of the day it is a love story. If you are fascinated by the strange, or you like the way the F# key sounds on a piano, then this might be up your alley.
I also don't know how to explain this story without sounding like a sleazy car salesperson trying to sell you a lemon. This isn't a lemon, I'm just bad at summarizing complex things.
Takes place after the events of Zootopia 2.

Meet the Family by kakashi_mole
Judy meets Nick’s family. Nick meets Judy’s family.
There’s also some stuff involving arson, an egg, and a roommate situation that gets progressively more unstable.
(Post-Z2) Winding slow-burn romance/intrigue: Judy meets Nick’s family at Foxgiving, a church is arsoned, they vacation in Bunnyburrow where a school play is arsoned, N&J determine they’re the targets so they … take a job as fire-watchers on a remote mountain to lure the arsonist, they drive each other crazy as roommates, they get kidnapped by ibex goats and get kinda-sorta married, then they drink drugged tea and flash back to their pasts. Also, they find a trafficked egg, which hatches into an owl chick, which they start raising and name Baby Fluff. They have a final rescue/chase, learn the crazy shipping librarian the met once is their arsonist, barely escape from an evil bat desperado villain with their lives after being rescued by a flock of owls, who also take Baby Fluff to live with them ’cause she’s their princess apparently?, and eventually they’re back home and all is well.
Overall an enthralling tale with good intrigue and some deep, layered character lore for both Nick & Judy. Be ready for some drastic swings in plot and genre on occasion though.

Very good; fantastic worldbuilding through rigorous historical research. Bit verbose (footnotes alone are probably 20–30% of the total word count), and the final reveal feels a bit out-of-the-blue, which left me feeling a bit put out, but nonetheless a solid detective/slow-burn romance tale.

Sweet.
