Summary
Seth's been missing for months. A couple weeks isn't exactly uncommon, as he's prone to falling off the face of the earth during a job. Five months? That's a cause for concern. Unfortunately for Becky, Hunter doesn't exactly seem to want to clue her in, no matter how hard she tries. Enter CM Punk and a deceptively simple bargain. If the two of them can find common ground and work together, they'll be assigned a mission that hopefully reveals the whereabouts of their partners.
The problem? Becky can't stand Punk, and the idea of working with him for any amount of time is about as fun as sticking her balls in the blender.

Summary
Becky hasn’t been to church in years. She’s never exactly felt the draw. Some of the prayers still linger when she stares blankly at the ceiling in the middle of the night, but that’s the outlier that proves the rule and nothing else. Now is one of those moments, and she considers breaking the rule into two neat pieces. And then another two. And then pulverizing it until there’s nothing recognizable left to be found.

Summary
Simon’s been having dreams again. Maybe dreams is inaccurate. Maybe the better word is nightmares. Whatever the case, they’re the sort of dreams he hasn’t had in years now—the sort that should have been left behind on Eden, or destroyed alongside Filament. He dreams the sort of dreams that haven’t been seen since long before the Blood Ocean gave him a new sort of nightmare.
The COI isn’t satisfied with “plain old insomnia” as an excuse to why he falls asleep on the job and nearly dies in the process. Unfortunately, before Simon can find a better lie, he’s saddled with a disgraced former captain to wheedle the truth out of him—the same captain he spent a month in a hospital bed next to, recovering from AT-5. And she’s really fucking hard to get rid of. -

Summary
A sob catches in his throat, and another wracks his whole body. He shakes with the weight of his own death.
The blood closes in on him. He secures the life jacket to the black box and asks his mother in the afterlife to keep it safe. He wonders if she did. He will never know.
Then, the blur clears from his vision. His tears are forgotten about if only for a moment.
He’s in a meadow, watched over by hundreds, if not thousands, of stars on a backdrop of painted clouds of dust incomprehensibly ancient. The Milky Way galaxy, come to look down on him from a cloudless night sky. A lone white moon sits full and bright as its pupil. A breeze catches his hair and his face with a nip of cold; a gentle touch that tells him do not worry. You are free now.

Simon wakes from death to an earthly forest. A month before, Ava finds herself in a junkyard, far from any civilization. When Simon finds her, - of all people, why is it her? - they come to an agreement to cooperate for survival. Over time, they reconcile with their past. Then, they open up.
Still, they have questions. Namely, where are they? Why are they here? And where did everyone go?

Summary
The warp core is missing, and so are the stars. Stuck in a dead universe no way back to his crew, Mark is forcefully taken in by the C.O.I and tasked with building the SM-13. It's the strongest ship they've got, but something isn't right. People are still dying, despite the sub remaining untouched. Determined to help and rebel against their tactics, Mark concocts a plan to stay in communication with the next convict they send down, without the C.O.I's knowledge.
Simon can't make sense of it, this C.O.I member wanting to help him, his strange ramblings of other universes and wormholes and paradoxes. The company was nice, he supposed. As the two exchange theories and conversations and comforts, the horrors persist, secrets are unearthed and discoveries are made that could possibly change everything.
But why does it feel like they're the only ones who care?
