The captains still in Seireitei radio in to speak to Ichigo's new demon friend, and things don't go as planned. A lot of information comes to light, and finding out that some of it was hidden on purpose was the last straw for some in Seireitei.

It's all hands on deck as the dead pile up, traumatic deaths creating hollows faster than the shinigami can konso them, and where the fuck did that hogyoku come from?
Probably the first in a couple of stories playing with this AU idea. Because dealing with Aizen's megalomaniacal bullshit isn't enough.

Roy knows. "I know," he says. "There are four more laps to go."
The China circuit hates him; he is quite sure of it. DRS issues on the final laps while he is desperately fighting for the sweetness of a podium. Last year was the stupid engine — DNF.
"Then hold the fuck on."
"Not helping," Roy snaps. "Do something useful instead of just telling me things I already know."
"It's my job to tell you the issues we're having."
Four more laps. Four. He can do it. This set of soft tires is almost gone. The brakes feel weird. The DRS is fucked. He can do it. Four.
"Edward," he says like it's a curse. "Just shut up and let me drive."
Or the fic in which Roy is a four-time World Champion Formula 1 driver, Edward is a prodigy and his race engineer, their team sucks and they fuck about it. That's it.

A method of telling time, with only a few instances of it in recent history. One next year. And then in five years from then. If I use imagery of an eclipse as a conduit for time, I can send myself back.”
Roy makes an affronted sound where he’s barely not asleep, but slowly rousing awake and garnering some suspicion. “I ask again: what the absolute hell are you talking about?”
“If I make you breakfast I promised, will you promise you won’t get mad at me for lying?” Ed asks.
After Ed finds himself in the past, he looks to where he knows he'll be the safest: with Roy.
