This wasn't how Ingo had imagined returning home.
Oh, he'd imagined it, a few times. He was only human. Anyone would want to know what their life was like if they suddenly found themselves in an unfamiliar land. After becoming used to the way Hisui worked, he had imagined returning borne on the wings of the Braviary that young Sabi had become warden of, or the back of a Basculegion. Not for any particularly grand deeds. Just because he had arrived on a beach, and assumed that he lived somewhere far over the water.
Or, perhaps, if he wasn't careful enough around the Drifblim, he would find himself whisked away to some other place where someone would recognize him as a skilled Pokemon Trainer that had taken a sudden sabbatical after becoming mad from overwork.

Considering this is the first sonogram he's ever seen, it's all unusual. He only recognizes the one thing, the tiny spark chamber and its emptiness. He flickers his optics over the screen. Then he does it again.
Or. Dreadwing gets the sparklings he's always wanted, with someone who he loves enough to do it.

Steve broke out into a grin, letting his head fall back. Eddie reached behind him, grabbing the handkerchief hanging out of his pocket. It was clean- Steve had really set out an outfit he'd have worn- and Eddie folded it in half on his leg. He carefully wrapped it around Steve's wound, tight enough to not let the blood leak out but loose enough that it didn't hurt him. He leaned over and played with his hair.

It didn't take Eddie long to have the dice, larger than most sets Eddie made, stacked on the page next to him. And it didn't take long to line up the minis next to those. At a worried glance from Wayne, he wiped his nose and took a drink of the water bottle.
And then he set a drawing on the table.
It was one he'd sketched out himself. He wasn't as good an artist as Will, but he could get the basic idea. It was of Steve's bat, propped up against his own guitar. They were supported by vines, similar to the ones in the Upside Down; and it had a base of stone. He showed it to Wayne.
"It's bigger than I normally make, and it's... You know."
Wayne nodded. "I'm sure he'll love it."
